The photos of the series "The left bank of the IJssel river between Deventer and Zwolle" were taken between January 1979 and March 1987.
Esther "Etty" Hillesum (15 January 1914 – 30 November 1943) was the Dutch author of confessional letters and diaries which describe both her religious awakening and the persecutions of Jewish people in Amsterdam during the German occupation. In 1943 she was deported and killed in Auschwitz concentration camp.

Beschreibung
Anders als es bei den meisten anderen Bläulingsarten üblich ist, unterscheiden sich die beiden Geschlechter des Kleinen Feuerfalters nicht in ihrem Aussehen. Auf der Oberseite sind ihre Vorderflügel orangerot. Typisch für die Art ist eine breite, dunkelbraun gefärbte Binde am Rand, die sogenannte Saumbinde. Außerdem haben die Tiere im Bereich zwischen der Saumbinde und der Mitte des Flügels auf der Oberseite der Vorderflügel mehrere kleine, dunkle und eckig geformte Flecken. Sie werden als Würfelflecken bezeichnet.

Het prachtige uitzicht over Melk vanaf de Abdij van Melk
Het stadje ligt aan de rand van de Wachau, een gedeelte van het Donaudal waar veel wijnbouw plaatsvindt en dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO staat.
Gedurende de winter en regenrijke zomers kan Melk onder water raken door een hoge waterstand in de Donau.
In de 19e eeuw waren driemaal zeer hoge waterstanden. In 2013 stonden ook delen van Melk onder water. In tegenstelling tot elders in de Wachau was er in Melk geen metalen muur opgebouwd om het water tegen te houden.

The town lies on the edge of the Wachau, a part of the Danube valley where a lot of viticulture takes place and which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
During the winter and rainy summers, Melk can be submerged by high water levels in the Danube.
In the 19th century there were three times very high water levels. In 2013, parts of Melk were also under water. Unlike elsewhere in the Wachau, no metal wall had been built up in Melk to block the water.
So this is a photo taking with my old camera the nikond D3100 and a 50mm nikkor 1.8 lens. This shot was taken last November as i was tasting my new glass. so what do you think of this Autumn shot in Randers?

Wollte nicht schon wieder mit "Buschwindröschen" betiteln ;-) !
Vor nicht allzu langer Zeit standen hier und ganz in der Nähe noch die "Märzenbecher". Wie ihr sehen könnt, haben diese nun würdige Nachfolger.
Aufgenommen im "Polenztal" bei Cunnersdorf, am Rande der Sächsischen Schweiz.
Ich wohne am Schönbuch Rand. So richtig klar ist mir das erst durch ein Werbeplakat für neue Wohnungen in Rübgarten geworden. Wie schön ich hier wohne habe ich mal mit diesem Bild eingefangen. Hier fühle ich mich sauwohl ;.)
This shot was taken through the window of the Rand Barber Shop. If you can zoom in, notice the 1906 calendar posted on the back door. The exterior of the shop can be seen below or in the previous post.
Randsburg was established as a gold mining town in 1895. The town was named after a gold mining area in South Africa. It is a short distance from Highway 395. It once boasted a population of around 4,000 but now has about 70 residents. Tourism is important to the town and most of the businesses caters to tourists.
This portion of the Appalachian trail is quite evocative of the Sound of Music just don't forget to bring the bug spray and lots of it.
