... above the green fields, a rift in the storm clouds allows the sunset color and light, to pour into the gray of a rainy day ...

A fall leaf adds color to a rainy day. It's probably moved since I took it so I won't geotag it.😀 #FallFoliage #leaf #red #fall #color #rouge #Rot #feuille #Blatt #RainyDay #RegnerischerTag #JourPluvieux
Taken through the front window of a taxi while sitting in the back seat. Thankfully I was able to get a cab and remain dry.... :-)
Was going to crop it, to close in on the part in the middle, but thought the framing with the out of focus rear view mirror on the top and the out of focus meter box and the outline of the bottom of the window seemed to be fine just as it was....
Hope everybody is doing great!
Auf den Wildrosenblättern perlen die Regentropfen immer so schön ab. Ich wünsch euch einen schönen Vatertag..
Dark and rainy day, in which nature shows its most severe and fascinating face.
Giornata scura e piovosa, ma ottima per paesaggi che si mostrano in una vesta più severa

The doorkeeper doesn't have much to do because of the lockdown.
The cathedral can only be entered for prayers, tourists and other photographers like me are not allowed in.
JANUARY (Gates of the Year) is the topic for TUESday 5th January, 2021 Group Our Daily Challenge.
I woke early this Friday morning here in Australia to a view of rain and leaden skies. Fitting and appropriate indeed as I listened with heavy heart to the radio news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
I am British by birth but no Royalist. However, I do have great respect for her as perhaps the 'ultimate public servant'; her quiet dignity, selflessness and unwavering dedication.
She has been a constant and an anchor throughout all of my life and now as her life and passing becomes part of the great annals of history and time, I know she will be sorely missed by many far and wide.
May she rest in peace.

After a prolonged episode of rainfall that seems to continue in the coming hours and days, a more than necessary rain gave way yesterday evening to a magnificent rainbow that crowned the city for a few minutes.
