Once again I was digging out my Christmas Card shot and came across one that I like. Taken on the same day, this is a great spot that tourists pull over and get an up close and personal view of our Mountain. Not on this day however, I was struck by the harshness of the scene in the place that I love, raw and forbidding. I love a challenge. :-)
blow it up large and climb inside.....

Some wildflowers last summer in Mount Rainier National Park..... It's springlike here this week so hopefully we will get some spring flowers blooming soon.....
We visited the old Burlington County Prison on a Saturday afternoon that was dank and drizzly. Both inside and out. Decided not to become criminals......
Qui chantera la solitude pluvieuse de l'humble Alençonnais piégé à l'abri des jupes de Notre-Dame ?

Three shot pano of Mt Rainier, shot from the south at White Pass. Snowshoed up above the ski area for an unobstructed view.
I love rainy days, even when Doc and I are traveling. On this particular day we were approaching Worthington Glacier along the Richardson Highway, as we headed south to Valdez. The benefits of a rainy day in Alaska are: cool temperatures - no bugs - and getting cozy in the camper with a cup of coffee and a yummy bear claw.
This morning we awoke to a rainy day, and plan on going out and enjoying it.
Happy hump day!
It has been a boring day for the Dragon, rainy and quite cold compared to the summery temperatures we still had last week. As usual his brother Fynn enjoyed the rain but Tofu definitely isn't the kind of cat who likes to get wet. I hope I will never be forced to bathe him.
