She faced the rain and the car and did not move.
Because sometimes stopping is the only way to go on.
Don’t let others decide who you are.

Shot from behind the rain-kissed glass on the Moyka River embankment, this photograph captures the gentle melancholy of a St. Petersburg evening.
The city lights blur and shimmer through hundreds of raindrops, like scattered memories suspended in time.
Each droplet is a lens, a tiny world, reflecting the city’s timeless rhythm — quiet, poetic, and alive with emotion.
A heartwarming moment as a young boy shares his umbrella with a duck during a gentle rain in a lush forest. This touching image reminds us of the pure innocence and kindness that still exists in the world.

Oh joy, another wet day today, even though I did actually take this yesterday. I got closer to the apparent ideal shutter speed for capturing rain here and it's not embellished (much) in photoshop, where I just replicated/cloned some of the rain.
The other apparent factors for effective rain capture is backlight or sidelight and being shot against a dark background. Will keep at it and see if I can get a better rain shot (not like it's difficult to keep practising..).
“Probably one of my favourite location that I discovered this year in Switzerland. And now, i make it meaningful to me by celebrating the 3rd death anniversary of my mother. I love to take the time to explore, and remember her for everything that she has taught me over the years. Switzerland offers some of the best places to reflect with yourself. #never_stop_exploring #neverforget #Tourism #Reflection #BodyOfWater #Nature #Cloud #MountainRange #Landscape #Mountain #TranquilScene #ScenicsNature #Tranquility #Travel #Lake #Outdoors #Sky #swiss_landscapes #switzerland_bestpix #switzerland_destinations #switerland #swizerland_landscape #rain_mood #rain_photography #rainbow”

These photographs capture the delicate presence of rain — drops suspended on glass, each one a miniature world. Taken through windows, the images evoke a quiet melancholy, a sense of intimacy, and the beauty of nature’s soft intrusion into our human space. No filters, no manipulation — just light, water, and the patient eye of the photographer.

The Ronettes - Walking In The Rain

Lyrics:
I want him, and I need him,
And someday someway woo I'll meet him
He'll be kind of shy, and real good lookin' too
And I'll be certain he's my guy by the things he'll like to do
Like walking in the rain (like walking in the rain)
And wishing on the stars (and wishing on the stars) up above
And being so in love
When he's near me, I'll kiss him,
And when he leaves me woo I'll miss him
Though sometimes we'll fight, I won't really care
And I'll know it's gonna be alright 'cause we've got so much we share
Like walking in the rain (like walking in the rain)
And wishing on the stars (and wishing on the stars) up above
And being so in love
no no he'll never do
(Bobby) no it isn't him too
They would never no they'd never never ever ever love
Walking in the rain (like walking in the rain)
And wishing on the stars (and wishing on the stars) up above
And being so in love
Oh oh oh where can he be oh oh

🇬🇧 A rainy afternoon in Nijmegen, seen from inside Café De Deut at Koningsplein. The raindrops on the window, the soft lights, and the blurred figure outside capture a moment of quiet poetry. A layered scene of reflection, atmosphere, and the everyday — seen through glass.
Saw Maustetytöt in Helsinki yesterday. Heatwave gone, cold hit hard. Left the gig early, completely frozen.
