A fun wander around Battersea Power Station with Annabel, Clare and our cameras. We didn't quite have the energy to head across the river to fully appreciate the rainbow jetty and were a little underwhelmed by a couple of the light installations, but loved this series of neon silhouettes, the interactive rainbow wall, and the big red cats in front of the buildings. The complex has a real buzz to it now (especially compared to when Annabel and I were last here, two years ago) and the bars and restaurants were all packed with people, including the very nice Indian that we managed to squeeze into.

A day late, but who cares? I'm out in Vegas hanging with my bff. We shot an absolutely gorgeous wedding on Friday, the day after I flew in. Then I woke up on Saturday with strep throat. No joke. Strep. Throat. In Vegas. On vacation. No bueno!!! Luckily, a quickie trip to urgent care and some antibiotics followed by a day of chillin watching movies and eating ice cream and I'm almost back up and running full steam today. Better news: I still have another day before I have to pack up and head home. Which means more quality time with the bestie, her hubs and the cutest little Bay in the world. I love these visits. :)

This shot's story: It's been swelteringly hot in Liverpool this week, which for me has meant a trip to the doctor's surgery in Garston to obtain eczema cream for the young 'un. The walls are made from a highly reflective metallic material, so they are quite eye catching. It seems they catch more than just the eye however, as this was the result after a relatively small amount of PS trickery. None of those wonderful hues were artificially added, they were already in the shot and just needed drawing out. The view is looking up the wall, with a lighting fixture at the base to add foreground interest. Enjoy.
