Looking southwest at dusk from the Wallace Avenue pedestrian bridge in the Junction Triangle. The two towers are part of the Crossways residential and commercial complex at Bloor and Dundas West. The Dundas West GO station is the foreground. Visible on the viewer's right are two old industrial buildings of the kind that used to be common in the area. Most of that industry moved away in the 1990s. Since then the neighbourhood has seen a lot of residential construction on reclaimed brownfield land. The Crossways complex, however, dates back to the 1970s and sits on a site previously occupied by a bread bakery.

Whether now or historically, every subject’s intersectional life experiences would have their presence in Toronto’s public spaces contested, restricted, or even criminalized. This reality provokes questions around the social covenant of citizenship and who is privy to it.

March 29, 2017. Workers had just finished building a new staircase and were taking down the old one.
New mural under the Wallace bridge by @KIZMET32 and @FRANCISPRATT. The city painted over an older mural by the same artists after it started to show its age.
December 23, 2016. The Georgetown GO train leaves the station at Bloor and Dundas on its way to Union Station. The towers belong to the Crossways residential and commercial complex.
