I wanted the railings to be a part of the image, rather than shooting through them. It took several attempts to get the railings just blurred enough.

Another view from my Castle Hill sunrise jaunt. The light was just hitting the river nicely to give it a little glow. As you can see it rained just before we got there and then on the way back down. Perfect timing I would say. The air was so fresh and lovely after the rain :) This was taken on the other side of the fort looking back towards the port. There is a small gap between the hill wall and the fort to get around there to view this side of the town. I prefer this view to the others.

It is raining this morning and pretty overcast, may just entice me to go shopping lol seeing as I am still on holidays and they are quickly disappearing fast. I am sure there is something that I need lol :)))

Well have a great Wednesday phew already, Tuesday for some of you and Thursday in the morn ;) Car

The band-winged meadowhawk is a dragonfly of the genus Sympetrum belonging to the family Libellulidae. This species is native to Canada and Continental United States, from coast to coast. This dragonfly can be found perched on vegetation along the edges of meadows, in weedy ponds, marshes and lakes, also in the hills or mountains. (Wikipedia)

The heat of the summer is not good for birding around here, so I like to go out looking for butterflies and dragonflies instead. This day, both were in short supply, but I did find this lovely and very cooperative meadowhawk resting on the railing of a bridge at a local trail.

River Tamar crossings, from Devon to Cornwall or Cornwall to Devon? The Brunel rail bridge and the road bridge.

Half way down my apartment staircase is a landing window ... so I took a peek at how the corner of my balcony looks from a different angle. That bougainvillea flower is definitely the 'star' of the show and likes being 'centre stage'. The nasturtiums like the sunny spot too by the looks of it.

I know this is a photo of the fall, but I spotted it in my archives from this year, and I just had to post it! I really liked the fence railing. I had stopped at this particular spot because they have a real beautiful barn; but as it turned out, the barn photos didn't turn out very well...but I really liked this random fence! Hope y'all like it as well!

False Creek in Vancouver from a pedestrian railing after sunset. Tilting the ultra wide lens down accentuates the angling of the buildings distorting them out.
