Virginia Sea Grant traveled to the Eastern Shore along with extension partners Michelle Covi and Angela King from the Resilience Adaptation Feasibility Tool (RAFT) as they pitched this community engaging tool to the Wachapreague town council.
Partnered with Old Dominion University and Virginia Coastal Policy Center (VCPC) at William & Mary Law School, RAFT's main goal is to assist coastal communities to increase their resilience by anticipating threats, reducing vulnerability, and respond to, and recover from hazardous events caused by sea level rise and major flooding.
