I make no apologies for yet another misty shot but this for me is in my top 10 of all time, taken a few years ago now but only just got round to editing it and this was the result, I was so taken with it i had to post it straight away, Fantastic moody atmosphere and I just love those misty winter colours, enjoy it!! I have got something like this already but this this was taken about 10 minutes later !

The radiated tortoise is a tortoise species in the family Testudinidae. Although this species is native to and most abundant in southern Madagascar, it can also be found in the rest of this island, and has been introduced to the islands of Réunion and Mauritius. It is a very long-lived species, with recorded lifespans of up to 188 years.
A view through Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire when the sunlight played in the morning mist. Moments like this are spellbinding and it is hard to force yourself to take images as you just want to stop and stare at the wonder around you.

This beach has had an amazing change. The creek use to run into the sea further down the beach, it now runs parallel to the shoreline. It has created a pool in the middle of the sand and this pool where it enters the sea. Perfect for reflections. Nature has it's way...
I have never ever visited such an enchanting straw flower garden at the foot of the Himalayas!!
I couldn't understand which one should I photograph and which one I shouldn't!! They were so many of them.

The river Soar can always be relied upon for wonderful scenes in misty conditions and last Thursday certainly delivered again, with stunning misty rays of sunlight emitting from the Riverside trees.
For Macro Monday - Crack
The only cracked thing, apart from myself, that I could find was one of our fence posts.
The area photographed is 50 mm (2 inches) wide!

This is the detail of a nasturtium leaf, they grow like weeds in my garden but I don't mind too much.
Red light from the end of a large display balloon radiates like a colourful sun in Melbourne's entertainment precinct of South Bank during one of the many promotional events.
My wife had the idea of a transparent two-sided nail brush for this week’s “Backlit” theme on Macro Mondays and bought a cheap one for just a pound. The quality shows! There are quite pictorial cracks radiating from the holes. The loosely packed plastic bristles splay out into irregular knife-sharp and skin ripping ends. Maybe we are being unfair - We shall have to research more expensive brushes through a macro lens!
Backlit with a diffused blue light supplemented by weaker white front illumination. A 17 layer focus stack that challenged HeliconFocus - but never blame your tools!
Little things - they mean so much. Like here in my summer meadow, little daisies turn their faces in the direction from which light and warmth radiate.
Life now expects big things from me, both in sorrow and in joy. I will be away from here for a while to do what I have to do as a mother and a daughter. I hope I can also take a little vacation. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you wonderful summer or winter days, wherever you are.

The latest #macromondays challenge prompts me to share this picture with you. It shows a ring, a ring that my mother-in-law wore so often. She once received it from her husband during a vacation together in Spain as she used to love wearing rings. For any vacation she received a ring from her husband. Both are no longer with us today. But every time I take the ring out of the display case to relive the memories, I feel the love that this woman once radiated. The power of her love endures through this ring!
No one is ever forgotten as long as they are remembered!

Jack Johnson - Radiate
A creative close-up framing of several green palm fronds radiating and fanning outwards from a central point similar to the palm of a hand.
The fronds are brightly lit as sunlight is shining through them reflecting off their surface. The texture of the frond, including some fine fibrous strands, is visible upon closer inspection.
