I've finally had to put a cover over the Yarn Car here at Art Car World, at the Mexican border in Douglas, Arizona. The resident Mexican stray cats have discovered that any loose yarn end can be a toy, and each morning I've had to fix some minor claw-induced damage. But things got serious yesterday when Kevin started barbecuing some ribs, and the aroma was wafting through the compound. One cat planted his paws firmly on the car's centerpiece yarnwork, smugly measured me up, and finally spoke with quiet menace: "Ees a nice car, señor. Such a peety if anytheeng were to happen to eet. Breeng me some reebs, and I weel see that no harm comes to eet dureeng thee night."
