Odin, male peregrine falcon coming in for a rest.

Early in the morning, with the coastline cliffs in the background.

Bothering the squirrels.

A young peregrine, bothering a squirrel. They are not hunting them, just that at this young stage in their life the peregrines are curious and playful.. so they are chasing everything in sight, in the air and on the ground.

(it happened very fast so not the best quality)

Maxine, shaking off the rust.

Early in the morning, female peregrine falcon was preening her feathers and when she was done, she shook vigorously her body.. and all the little excess feathers fell off of her.

High five✋

Grizzly, taking care of an itch with her hind foot.

Taken in the afternoon, at Grand Teton NP.

Early morning encounter with a grizzly bear at Glacier NP.

Nice to see a familiar face, again.

Red fox, early in the morning.

Mount Athos, Chalkidiki, Greece

Mt. Athos is an autonomous monastic state within Greece. No female visitors are allowed on the Athos peninsula. You can sail around Mt. Athos though as long as you keep a distance of 500 m from its shore.

Fluffy innocence.

Young mule deer, early in the morning at Bryce National Park. Mom was near by, keeping an eye out on her youngster.

Marmot, yawning at Glacier NP.

Burrowing owl in a light rain.

Early in the morning and it felt like she really enjoyed the rain.. she stayed out for more than one hour and got all wet. Me too and I gave up before she did😀

A lone bighorn male, at Glacier National Park.

It was very late in the afternoon and I was on my way back to the campsite, when I saw this fella.. so I had to stop and take a few shots.

Male red fox, enjoying the first light.

Bull moose, finally stood up after a long nap at Grand Tetons NP.

"Ma! Dad! I'm hungry!"

Peregrine chick calling her parents. The chicks will be leaving soon (in search of their own territory) so I am enjoying every moment they are still around.

Odin, spoiling his kids..

Male peregrine falcon, bringing breakfast to one of his kids.

Odin is young, I think a first time dad.. but he is very attentive and excellent provider for his three chicks. He brings them plenty of food, sometimes more than needed.

The young chick is sitting on a agave plant, on a cloudy morning in California.

Possibly the earliest domed garden building in England, the summerhouse dates from around 1635 and has been used as a banqueting house and a dovecote. Designed by John Webb and built in the shape of a Greek cross, it is one of two originally built.

Young peregrine chicks.

Two of the three chicks, early in the morning waiting to be fed.

My favorite bird and the best time of the season.

Juvenile red tailed hawk, not paying attention and flying very low, above the road.. He really surprised the driver (and me) but luckily the lady driving was aware and slowed down.

Beaver, having a snack very late in the afternoon at Teton NP.

Taking a shower.

Another day, another shower under the park's sprinklers for the female peregrine falcon.

Grumpy..

One more shot at a different angle, of my accidental encounter with a grizzly on a trail at Glacier NP. I always like to see them (maybe not this close) and get a few shots.. and luckily he wasn't interested in stopping and having a chat.
