More yummy SXSE items: Left: Banh Xeo - Cambodian style rice crepe w/ pulled pork, nuoc mam & cilantro! So good! It's not your frou frou crepe, that's for sure! It's got a great crepe texture & it's infused w/ the smokiness of the yum pulled pork! I love the chopped nuts on top!! It's delicate, but in your face! It's like that Fiat commercial with the Gorgeous Italian woman that's yelling at that guy & slaps him & then kisses him! Except it's she's Cambodian and has a Southern twang! Lol! And you might think that's just a piece of bread with some butter on it, but you'd be sadly mistaken! That beautiful thing there is Milk Toast - house-made brioche topped with condensed milk spread! We had to do a drive-by at the SXSE pop-up, so we did take-out! Clockwise: top: Lemongrass Stix (one beef, one chicken) - @luxkong 's marinade is hit and so tasty good! You won't find it anywhere else!; bottom right: "Nem Nuong" Cuon - fresh vegetarian rice paper rolls with a crunchy center & a ginger/garlic sauce - I loved the crunchy middle! That was the best surprise! And it really kept its crunch! The veggies were delish! Left: Biscuit w/ Pulled Pork (because they had run out of brisket) - the house-made honey buttermilk biscuit was so delicious & fluffy - even after traveling!
