A night shot in the town of Bath which quite well sums up my recent stay there: the 18th century Georgian building over the Roman baths, next to the late medieval abbey built in the perpendicular Gothic style.

Darjeeling, the land of thunderbolt, is a quintessence of natural beauty making it prevalently known as the ‘Queen of the hills’. This nature’s best destination will let you explore the most serene and peaceful locations of all times, one of them being the Japanese Peace Pagoda.
Considered as a symbol of peace and religion, the Pagoda is an extremely popular Buddhist temple and monastery.
It symbolizes global peace
The Japanese Peace Pagoda of Darjeeling was built by a Buddhist monk Fuiji to spread a message of harmony all around the world after the bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The foundation stone of this place was laid in the year 1972 by Fuiji and was completed by his favourite disciple Guruji Fuiji in the year 1992. The main motive of the place is to welcome individuals from every part of the world, regardless of any religion and express a message of religious equality and harmony. A visit to this beautiful place will surely give you immense peace and a sense of positivity.
The spectacular view
Once you reach at the top of the Pagoda, you will be unquestionably fascinated and dazed by the view it offers. There is greenery all around you. Also, if you are lucky enough to visit the Pagoda on a clear day, you will get an opportunity to see the snow laden white mountains. The vibe here is something that will make you feel entirely unperturbed.
The mesmerizing architecture
The Pagoda is just at a short distance from the Japanese temple which is built in a traditional Japanese style. The amazing architecture of the temple will completely leave you captivated. There are also prayers held at this temple, which can be attended by tourists.One can pay a visit to this sacred shrine throughout the year. People of all faiths visit Peace Pagoda frequently. Moreover, no one is bounded to attend the prayers. One can exit from the prayer hall whenever he/she likes. Before exiting, sweets (Prasad) are offered to the visitors.
There are no charges for clicking photos but making videos of the main prayer hall is entirely prohibited.
A visit to this beautiful place will surely give you immense level of mental relaxation. Whenever you visit this beautiful city of hills, make sure to include a visit to the Japanese Pagoda in your list of things to do in Darjeeling.

This species is the quintessence of Neotropical birding in South America with its bright colours in striking combination. Blue-naped Chlorophonia is a fruit-eater; this individual was heading down to a feeding station with bananas at El Dorado Lodge, an excellent base for birdwatchers in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in northern Colombia.

The Fifth Elements
The theory of the four elements dates back to the fifth century BC. It is a way of describing and analyzing the world conceived according to ancient Greek philosophers. These elements are earth, air, water and fire.
Each of the elements is represented by a different symbol on this mural. These symbols are found on the right column as well as in the mural itself. The earth is represented by the tree and the shrubs, the air is represented by the openings in the roof, the water by the basin at the foot of the fresco and the fire is in a hearth in the center of a staircase leading to towards knowledge.
Historically, a fifth element was added by the philosopher Aristotle around 350 BC. It is the quintessence formed by the stars which revolve around the other four elements. From an updated artistic point of view, it is the visitors to this mural that can be seen as the fifth element.

Lors de notre visite de l'exposition Roy Lichtenstein à Mons, nous avons visité ce parc labellisé "Jardin Remarquable" depuis mai 2021, ce domaine de 3ha accueille les bâtiments d'une ancienne brasserie-malterie entouré d'un parc aux arbres centenaires jalonnés d'objets déco.
En retrait dans une grande propriété arborée, clôturée d'un haut mur et de grilles, ensemble néoclassique d'une ancienne brasserie construite dans la 2e moitié du 19e siècle, aujourd'hui dénommé le château du Bocage. Disposés en ordre semi-clôturé autour d'une cour quadrangulaire, dépendances basses, grange et imposant corps de logis, d'une remarquable homogénéité.
les structures décoratives proposées par le magasin Quintessence sont rassemblées par thèmes. On les découvre au fil de la promenade avec partout cette rouille caractéristique de l’acier Corten.
C’est la nouvelle tendance. L’acier Corten se prête maintenant à la découpe de décors végétaux qui peuvent compléter une ambiance particulière au jardin. Pour ces découpes précises, les artisans emploient un rayon laser à commande numérique. Il fond le métal sans créer de bavures. Le trait peut être très délicat .
Claudine en a profité pour acheter trois décorations de jardin dont un module.

I liked very much this stained glass window. Its name is the "Reading" by Henri Bergé (1870-1937).
A woman has interrupted her reading and is playing with a black cat perched on her shoulders.
The style chosen to portray the young woman with a bare bust recalls that of the posters of the 1900s.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce vitrail . Il s'agit du Vitrail «La Lecture» par Henri Bergé (1870-1937).
Une femme a interrompu sa lecture et joue avec un chat noir juché sur ses épaules.
Le style retenu pour camper la jeune femme au buste nu rappelle celui des affiches des années 1900.
