NO MULTI INVITATIONS in your commenTs, Tks.
you are here in the quiet places, calling out my name
longing just to bring me back home
you are here in the chaos, always running after me
all this time i've never walked alone
♬ you are with me in the quiet ♬
when I cannot hear your words
still they come in gentle whispers

How to look for an answer or leave it alone?
To find a quiet place in nature
Pond, it's nice to dream with you
Tomorrow, I have to do without you today… it‘s need to go

U t o p e n a v podzimní náladě
Jak hledat odpověď, či nechat to být?
Nacházet v přírodě příjemný klid
Jezírko, je hezké u tebe snít
Zítra zas, dneska už musím se bez tebe obejít
…už je třeba jít

Found this charming, tucked-away cove dressed in the last colors of the season. The classic Falu red cabin and deep orange trees reflect perfectly in the still water, a beautiful, private spot on the lake.
The splash of red from the cabin and the orange buoys really anchor this cozy scene. It feels like the kind of place you’d retreat to when you need complete peace.
This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Quiet Places. Not a soul in sight to make any noise, just a few raindrops. HMMM!
If you were going to design a seat for watching the sun rise over the ocean, you’d struggle to do better than this one - thoughtfully produced by Mother Nature herself. This is Spoon Bay, another (yes, another) favourite stretch of coast of mine.
Thought for the day: if you could un-invent one thing, what would it be?
For me, it would be that super-tight plastic packaging some things come in - the kind that requires sharp scissors, months of strength training. That, and USB connectors. A true marvel of engineering that somehow needs to be tried, flipped, tried again, flipped again, and repeated exactly three times before one end miraculously decides it’s happy to go in.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Just enough time to recuperate for New Year celebrations ;)
Barely 200 metres along the path from the Female Factory we come to this quiet place. The Macquarie River in drier periods is a small flowing stream, although when in flood this whole area would be inundated. I think it fair to say the essential character of this location has hardly changed since the convicts walked this path (some perhaps in ball and chain).
A quiet cobblestone path covered in golden leaves, leading through the warmth of autumn’s embrace. The soft light filtering through the trees and the lonely streetlamp evoke a timeless calmness.
a perfect moment between nature and solitude.

The Treska River carves its way here like a quiet breath through the heart of the Matka Canyon. High above the water, the rock walls rise steep and layered, shaped by time and patience. Their shadows drift slowly across the blue-green ribbon below, as if the mountains themselves are watching while the river continues on its course. The water lies calm, almost untouched, held between steep slopes dressed in autumn tones. There is no sense of haste here, no noise — only the suggestion of movement, far beneath you. The canyon opens layer by layer, each bend revealing new depth, new silence. Beyond the Saint Nicholas Šiševski Monastery, it is worth walking on a little further. It is there that the most beautiful view of the gorge unfolds: the river sinking deeper between the rocks, the walls gradually pulling apart, and the landscape revealing its true scale. A place where you do not just look, but pause. This is a landscape that reminds you of proportions — how small we are, and how vast nature can be. And how the river, unwavering and timeless, binds everything together: rock, light, and memory.
Matka Canyon is located in North Macedonia, just west of Skopje, near the village of Gorna Matka. The Treska River winds calmly through the heart of Matka Canyon, where steep limestone walls, shifting shadows, and deep silence define the landscape.
A quiet place to sit and contemplate nature's beauty is under a beautifully coloured tree watching the leaves fall and see the other golden trees nearby.

Behind Penmon Priory, Anglesey there's an old graveyard. An ancient stone Celtic cross stands proudly, surrounded by moss-covered tombstones. The cross, decked out with intricate carvings, sits on a stone pedestal amidst vibrant green ferns and tall grass. The background is a mix of trees and cloudy skies, adding to the chill, slightly spooky vibe.

The quiet places...where thoughts and hopes can sparkle and dance like the shimmer of sunlight on fresh-fallen snow...
Red shapes break the white hush, bold against frozen calm. Cold wind slips through snow-heavy pines, stirring whispers that ripple across the frozen lake. Quiet unfolds like light, clear, open, waiting.
Hidden in the heart of North Brabant lies a magical place where time seems to slow down — the Oisterwijkse Vennen.

Schatten und Licht wechseln sich ab wie Gedanken,
die nirgendwo ankommen müssen.

A quiet path between forest and vineyard –
shadows and light drift like thoughts
with no need to arrive.
🇬🇧 A quiet room wrapped in amber light.
The window filters the day into fragments,
each reflection caught between shadow and memory.
Silence is not absence — it’s the shape of light slowing down.

Luna Sea is a coastal treasure – full of quiet beauty and small surprises.
A stretch of coast, shaped by wind and silence.
Seabirds drift past.
Seals rest on warm stone.
Nature doesn’t try to impress – it simply lets you be.
Here and there, places to sit.
To share. To stay a little longer.
It’s a place to breathe – alone or together.
