I saw this Red Deer on the way at home through Salzburg road,

taken from Bus, every body wanted to see it !

Thanks for visiting for all my Flickr friends - have a pleasant week!

We adopted them today.

That's what happens, when I go shopping with my daughter ... ;)

Many thanks to all :)

A dragonfly in full flight.

You ran so long on empty

With nothing left but love

You might've come unraveled

But you're still beautiful

Damaged, it tore you apart

You didn't wanna fight

Damaged, soft to the touch

If they could see inside

You're

Crushed, crushed, crushed

Crushed velvet

Crushed, crushed, crushed

Crushed velvet

Quickshot. Nothing fancy.

Fear not, I haven't forsaken male form photography and I'll be doing shots of men again soon. All you lovely gay men that I know are following me need not run off. 😉

Here is Cindy again, on her favorite place on the wardrobe.

Her magic green eyes are real. This glowing green is only to see in a special angle to the light.

Today, she was sleeping for hours on this place, she was awake about a noise and I had my camera with the 19mm objective just in my hand and hold the cam to her face :-)

I’ve always loved how the dandelion gets more beautiful in its decaying state, the dainty seeds just float away, carrying the wishes and dreams bestowed upon them.

A miniature! If you’re like me, you’ll need to put on your glasses to appreciate this!

I took it with a 75-300mm lens from some distance away. These friends are gathered under the warning sign at the end of the jetty at Bearskin Neck, Rockport Massachusetts.

I couldn’t really see what they were doing, but it looked like they were having fun!

Taken at dusk, these boats are returning to the harbor, which is to the left (west).

I hadn’t really thought too much about it before.... what it’s like being out on the ocean and fishing all day, then racing back to the harbor before the sun sets, while there is still enough daylight left to unload the boat. So, it can’t be like me sitting in front of my computer all day long - light or dark, the work goes on and I’ve become somewhat oblivious to natural cycles.

I suspect the gulls see them coming and are waiting to see if any goodies get thrown overboard.

An interesting tidbit: while I was here at Rockport I struck up a conversation with a visiting art historian from Cape Cod, and she commented on how “blue collar” it is up here on the North Shore! She didn’t mean it in a negative way... just a sense that these are working harbors with people who make their living by their labor. She seemed to admire this and I’ll second that admiration any day.

In front of my window I have set my selfmade squirrels-feeder and filled with a lot of walnuts.

I saw this squirrels in my kitchen and tried to take a good shot through the window (the squirrels are very fast). Sadly it is not really sharp - but a little bit funny :-) What do you think?

ISO 1600 (1/30s) was sadly not enough for a better shot...

The red color pop is mostly coming from Hipstamatic filters. I switched out the sky using Quickshot and Pixelmator, smoothened out some noise in Lightroom, made some adjustments in Photos (iPad Pro), and then framed in Snapseed to finish.

I'm just exploring new image processing tools...;-)

This is yesterday's crescent moon edited today in the Quickshot App that I downloaded early this morning on my iPhone 7 Plus.

a quick shot in Witten, "Auf dem Schnee"

Drab colored building photo turned to black & white in Photoshop. Then added back the double yellow line’s color in Pixelmator. Changed the sky in Quickshot. Added some brightness in the center with Snapseed.

But it´s the first for this Winter, so I have to show it :-))

Lovely building inside and out. Originally built in 1875.

This is in the “French Hill” section of Nashua, which is where I was raised. “French Hill” takes its name from having a high concentration of French speaking Canadian immigrants. By the time I moved away during my mid-20’s, most had already left but the name lives on.

SERIES:

There's a lot more on the property than just the train. There is the old plantation house, the museum as well as the distillery. On this occasion, we are only dealing with the newest attraction, which is the train.

I don't normally take photos in such harsh light, but I was exploring the grounds after our ride and waiting for the train to come back around for the next trip. I couldn't resist this shot, even with the fence in the way. :D Always remember that yours shots won't always be perfect or the way you envision them. It's more important to catch memories, rather than perfection.

And there goes the train on another journey... I couldn't help but watch it go off into the distance.

To all of you, hope you enjoyed the weekend and have an awesome week ahead, wherever you are! Let me know what you think!

was bored and wanted a picture in this hair so here it is lol

Another adult bookstore in Garden Grove, CA. "Movie Rooms"--I shudder just thinking about it.

Here's a text I sent to my brother Dan while waiting to get this shot:

"Standing outside an adult bookstore called Hip Pocket. Cute huh. No I'm not going inside! Taking a picture of the sign though. I needed to look busy until a patron drove away."

Then a second text a few moments later:

"Wow this place gets a lot of traffic."

I stood there for a couple minutes while different cars drove in and out. I didn't want anyone to see me taking pictures there! Finally I just snapped this and left. The fellow in black was sweeping up the parking lot.

Have I mentioned how much I love this song? Blue Oyster Cult trips me out. They have this tinge of melancholy/wistfulness to their songs that I find irresistible.

------

I have finally reached my Friday and after the week I've had in the office, I must say it's well deserved. This has been one of the most hectic and chaotic weeks and I'm honestly looking forward to a few days away from the madness.

Anyway, I took exactly two pictures today, one where the focus was off and this one, while it's not my best work but it still isn't terrible so I'm going with it. It at least had pretty back-lighting and doesn't really give away just how chilly it was while I was out and about.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Long Beach has a Cambodia Town. The little markets in southern Cali are full of great stuff, BTW.

A quick shot through the window and a dangerous walk at this moment, because my cat Pupsi was in this time outside on "police patrol".

I was just taking some shots (with the Canon EF 70-200 F4L USM on the Sony A7II) of my cute cat "Cindy" in front of the window as the squirrel came on the fence...
