This is my quilt for the Madrona Road Challenge. Blogged here: www.our-epoch.com/

finshed. Pattern: Jenny Pedigo's Urban Candy. Sadie wanted a grey and yellow quilt. I found a FQ bundle of tonal solids ranging from red to yellow and went from there. It's not pieced perfectly, but she loved it. The arrangement was inspired by the ombre designs that are all over the internet right now. I can't claim it as my own inspiration.

The back used some of the leftover cutouts in a flower pattern and shows the quilting better. I used a variegated thread and flame shaped stitching between the curves.

Way back in January a request for participants in a designer challenge using the Quick Curve Ruler by Sew Kind of Wonderful was posted to the Fat Quarterly blog. I love curved piecing and a challenge (and a chance to get a free ruler!) so I threw my name in the hat. Crazily, out of close to 100 comments, I was one of the lucky ones to get chosen!

Promise Ring is what I came up with. I thought that the Pezzy Prints would be perfect for the design (though picking the background colour was kind of tough.) The next crazy part is that the fine folks behind FQ liked my pattern so much that they opted to put it in their magazine! So, not only is this my first pattern ever but it is also my first published pattern. It's really, truly crazy.

I really love the Quick Curve Ruler. If you are thinking about getting it, do it. I can think of so many other designs to make and it's so much easier to use a ruler than to try cutting around templates. Check out some of the designs made by others using this ruler here.

Finished size 43x57" for a friend who needed me to make a baby girl quilt with NO pink in it :)

Made entirely of vintage sheets & using a quick curve ruler.

Made this baby girl quilt for my friend who's soon to have a baby. I made the basic oval using the Quick Curve Ruler and then alternated them, added a small border.
