Jakarta offers diversity of food street. People patiently waiting for their turns to be served by food vendor.
Today I changed the streets used to go to work and passed the school were I grow when I was a child. They painted its walls with these curious silhouettes. I liked the machine to pay the parking zone because these silhouettes seam to be waiting to use it. I just waited for a minute to someone using the machine.

09:59 Single file to pass the Buxton Memorial Fountain then the second set of zig-zag rows.
11:25 Single file again, passing the Burghers of Calais sculpture and the Parliamentary Education Centre.
11:45 Through the airport-style security check. Cameras, phones, loose change etc into a tray. Body scanner, quick frisk, collect me bits.
11:47 Phones off, slowly enter Westminster Hall. Silence. Parliamentary staff whisper directions. Calm, serene. Standing vigil, Gentlemen at Arms, Beefeaters, Life Guards, Blues and Royals*, motionless, perfect.
12:00 And then it was over. Out into New Palace Yard and Parliament Square.
Well organised every step of the way, with marshals and Scouts on hand to help, everyone queuing and filing past the catafalque displaying impeccable manners.
God Save the King.

*Officers from the five units of the Foot Guards – the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards and Welsh Guards; and the two regiments of The Household Cavalry – The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals – provide the inner Guard. All take their turn, with each regiment covering a six-hour period each. They are joined by an outer Guard of Her Majesty's Bodyguard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The Queen's Bodyguard of the Yeomen of the Guard and The Royal Company of Archers. [MoD]
You shake a wooden box until a small stick pops out of a hole, which has a number on. When you get to the front of the queue, you tell the shrine maiden the number and make an offering to receive your o-mikuji (おみくじ). If it's bad, you'd best tie it to a tree so the bad luck doesn't follow you!

Our family has been in home isolation for 12 days, so today we have to have a Covid test. If negative, we will be free on Friday. This is at Indooroopilly High School where this outbreak started. This was the queue about 20 minutes before opening at 7am. We are now much closer to the testing station but we expect about an hour’s wait. Update: 8am tested and now home. Fingers crossed for a negative result. 12 August: received our negative results. 😁
This is a look at the queue for the US Capitol Building tour in Washington DC. All of the columns set up around the room give the building a confusing maze like effect.
I'm sorry to say that we were disappointed with the tour of the Capitol Building. We spent longer waiting in this room then we spent on the tour. Admittedly, the building was under construction, and still is, but we expected to see more than just one room.
I'm not sure we were ever even in the building at all. From where we exited the tour, and taking into account how little ground we covered, I don't think we ever actually left the visitor center, a large underground addition to the United States Capitol complex which serves as a gathering point for tourists and an expansion space for the US Congress.

This Rax location opened as part of the once national Rax fast food chain in 1984. The restaurant has not been modified in any notable way since then. As far as I can tell everything here is original (except for some kitchen equipment and a TV in the dining room), including the signs on the exterior. The only big change here has been the removal of the salad bar. Lancaster seems to be a town that likes nostalgia to a degree; I noticed a number of other things in Lancaster like a drive-in movie theater that was still up and running.

I´m waiting for my ferris wheel ride to start. Luckily it's the Pink Monday funfair so there are plenty beautiful, friendly and extravagant people around. Never a dull moment, not even when waiting in line.
