As part of a new project to revitalise the waterfront in Toronto (though how they'll ever do that without burying the Gardener I don't know) one side of Queens Quay has been closed down, surrounded by flowers and grass and converted into a bike path. This gate made of bicycles marks the eastern entrance.

Here's the gate in context.

The Pulse Front installation runs from June 1-10, 2007 as part of LuminaTO, an arts festival in Toronto.

Taken at Harbourfront in September. Wishing the flickr community a happy Saturday.

They don't call it the quay for nothing. This incongruous image was achieved by standing in the middle of Lower Jarvis Street, holding my camera around knee level and cranking up some zoom. The anchor belongs to the Andean, moored at the Redpath Sugar refinery.

This is from a series of lost files from High School photo project. Sadly the negatives are long gone, but a few low rez scans remained on a neglected CD.
