My wife and I visited the Cumberland County Fair this afternoon in Fayetteville, NC. Big Rock Amusements has the midway for this event.
First time successfully flying my quad.

I tried for a long time to get the quad to fly using the "Free Flight" board, but it just wouldn't cooperate, so I gave in and bought a Naza controller. So Sweet!
If you live in seattle, and visit Carkeek Park, you may have noticed a sign at the entrance that said "Model Airport". I never knew what this was, and never saw anything like a model airport when visiting the park in the past. Well, if you take a left when you get to the lower part of the park (after leaving the main parking lot and heading east) you will come to a small meadow, which is actually a field for flying control line airplanes.

Originally the heart of the University of Nevada, Reno campus, this beautiful area is the traditional setting for Commencement activities, and provides a pleasant place for picnics, concerts, and quiet reflection. Since 1987, the University of Nevada Quadrangle has been listed as a "Jeffersonian academic village" on the National Register of Historic Places, as the campus core follows Thomas Jefferson's design for the University of Virginia Lawn. The lovely, giant elm trees were planted in 1908. When the University was in its infancy, it was strictly forbidden for underclassmen to ever set foot on the Quad.

I like Tennessee Technological University. It's a small college with a beautiful campus. The highlight of the campus is most notably the Quad. It's a wonderful place to sit, relax, study, or take pictures of beautiful ladies. :-)

Buff 24"x36" Foldable Medium Softbox (FSB2436) used as mainlight. 1 White Lightning x2400, camera left, 1/8 power, diffused by a 60" Photek Softlighter II (with diffusion panel) used for fill. Strobes triggered via Cybersyncs; powered via Vagabond II. A CPL filter was used. Setup pic here.
