Years ago there were several Q&A websites , like the conversatron. Basically the premise was this:
The reader poses a question to the panel of experts. the mods/admins of the sites apply funny to the situation and respond with all sorts of celebs and pop culture icons and other assorted avatars.
Check the website linked for examples. the funny in my brain is broken at the moment so I cannot provide examples of my own.
I always wanted to set one of these things up. But it requires the Python engine to be installed and I'm fairly sure we dont have that with our webhost. (anyone with a dedicated server/python installed on their host wanna run it for free? didnt think so)
Earlier today I had a revelation. I thought, hey, why not use Twitter to approximate it?
That's where you come in.
If you want to help participate and test run my idea, you can do one of two things.
1) be a regular question asker. they can be serious questions or silly ones. Whatever strikes your fancy.
2) be a volunteer on the panel of experts. Set up a fake twitter page (or several if you wish) for a celebrity or cultural icon that you want to parody or speak for. if you see a question that you want to answer which would be fitting (or more importantly, funny) for your character to answer, do so. or do nothing if you don't feel inspired by the question.
3) all of the above.
Nothing is set up yet, if there's enough interest and volunteers I'll work on a more automated system of funneling the q&a's into a particular account.
