Everything wired and wrapped up and waiting for dark when we start the show. The people who'll be watching the field are already headed out in their hardhats and other protective gear.
My son heard about a fun experiment that involves soaking a dollar bill in rubbing alcohol, and setting on fire. It does not burn the bill, just the alcohol! This brought many smiles to the bunch of us involved!

Another of Vancouver's interesting street performers.
This painter works almost solely with spray paint in what I guess would be referred to as a graffiti-style. His images are mostly scenic dream scapes created using a variety of different props such as bowls and different props, each time layering the image and adding more to it.
At this point he's taken a spray can, and angling it just right is using just the remaining gas lit with a lighter to help dry the layer he's working on.
After watching just how he makes these shots- its hard not to buy one...
