These photos were taken during a fabulous circular day walk on one glorious bright Spring day. Max my dog and loyal walking partner and I walked through the village of Ospringe and the hamlet of Hanslett's Street just on the outskirts of Faversham and ended up in one of our favourite places, Putt Woods. These photos document some of the wonderful things we found that day!
Sitting like jewels in the spring sunshine these Glistening Inkcaps were attached to the flanks of an old, fallen, decaying tree.

The monarch caterpillars are developing and it should be long before they starting forming their chrysalis. They are certainly munching their way through the swan plants but there should be enough food for them.
