If anyone has a magic wand, please wave it and make tomorrow be Saturday. Today was another one of "those days" when several things occurred that I was pretty sure would result in my head exploding. It didn't. Not today, maybe tomorrow. I got out of there (being work) alive and when I got home, there were PUPPIES! Not one, but two. Dayna was puppysitting her friend's new puppy and Meeko's new friend. Brooklyn is a miniature Australian Shepherd - Rottweiler mix ( I think I got that right!) Things are better now!

Puppysitting for Marie, a crazy 11 week old puppy. Also made 3 batches of homemade pasta... rolling the sheets out took FOREVER.
This is Rocko the Chihuahua, I have the pleasure of puppy sitting him from time to time~
He is very sweet and he thinks I walk on water!! LOL :)

Lucy is almost as big as Billy now and "puppy sitting" is more like "moose sitting".
This is what I discovered today when I interrupeted their afternoon nap...
I need to work on this. I actually need a second pair of hands because I'm afraid he will take off on me, so I have to leave a leash on him to give me something to grab onto if he does decide to run (yeah.... like I'll ever get close enough to him to even grab the leash...but that's my plan. I didn't say it was a good one.) And then I'm in trouble. I'm puppysitting and I've succeeded in tiring him out. I've also succeeded in getting him full of mud again. I've succeeded in getting myself covered in mud also. Maybe you can guess by the way his ears are blowing back at the speed he's coming at me with. I am laying flat on the ground.(oh God! ticks!) I have missed him totally and have gotten only pieces of him in the frame and several just totally out of focus. When he reaches me... he doesn't stop. He runs right over me, knocks the camera out of my hands and usually circles around for another shot at me. I am pretty sure I have muddy paw prints across my back now. The puppy kindergarten obedience classes are going well.... ; )
my boss's boss brought in her 3 month old cocker spaniel puppy today! she was a total sweetheart and we all had a blast puppysitting. i got only a few good shots because i was trying to be subtle about my photography (they don't really know this side of me at work yet!) and because she's a PUPPY! impossible to get sitting still!
I hung out with the ever-awesome Leilani this evening, for a drink. What a blast...we could talk for hours, methinks! Just what I needed the night before my birthday! The lunar eclipse will be icing on the cake!! Click the link to see how to photograph it from DPS!
