Romi: Hihihi, with this face you can´t say no to me whatever I want.
Me: Uhm...Sorry hun, but I´m broke. ^^'''
Romi: NOoo! >.<
I get this look from him like 80% of the time and it never fails, I always jump on the bed and cover him in kisses. Never thought I'd love a dog like this and he has become such a big part of our family.
Happy Furry Friday! Yay...it's finally here!
***Thanks for Explore everyone!! ****
From a few days after we'd brought Grant home. Sorry for the absence, but the past two and a half days have consisted of not only an exuberant puppy but an egg-bound hen (she's fine, thank God; by the way, part of her cure included a warm bath in epsom salts and overnight sick bay in the garage thanks to frigid overnight temperatures), a different hen racing through the woods, an emergency run to the veterinarian with a baggie of chicken manure in the car, and a thirty-six hour migraine which just began tailing off late this afternoon. So you are stuck with more puppy pictures. I guess you'll just have to suffer through it! ;)
Most people would never let you take a portrait of them with a fisheye lens, because it tends to make them look a little odd.
Not Cherry though, she's braver than most!
This little guy had the greatest puppyface.
He was very interested in climbing my face and sitting on my glasses.
We were contacted by rescue friends in Wasco (central California) about a beautiful Momma and her pups that were desperate to be rescued. Momma, named Gaia was hit by a car about a week before. We immediately sent Eldad Hagar from Hope For Paws to rescue this family.
Sadly, by the time he arrived, Gaia had been hot by a car a second time and died.
Over the next 7 hours, Eldad worked tirelessly to rescue her 3 puppies. Once captured, our work began to help socialize these little girls.
Here are photos of all three girls a year later :-)

I came across this adorable picture of Cocoa as a puppy. This was taken 9 or 10 years ago with FILM - -hence the graininess.
Those eyes.....They have the ability to melt anyone's heart!
I am beginning to notice a theme of the pictures I take of Dinozzo. He ALWAYS has snow on his face! For some reason he just cannot resist dunking his head in the snow. Hee hee.
Any time I hear "polar vortex" now though I want to cry. LOL In the future if I ever get a puppy again it will NOT be during the winter months! So hard to socialize him when the temps are below zero or single digits! This little guy has no issues about playing in the backyard for an hour even in the below zero temps!
I received a text message with this picture from a woman named Carmen. She found Preston frightened and hiding in a public restroom in a rough neighborhood in East Los Angeles. Carmen took her time and earned Preston's trust enough where she was able to pick him up and bring her to her home for some warmth and good food. She asked if Bill Foundation was able to help and I couldn't say no to this sweet face and such a caring woman.
So, Preston went to our vets and was treated for flea infestation received all his vaccines, a microchip and was neutered.
Within just a few days of his rescue, Preston came 100% out of his shell and has proved to be a hilarious and sweet baby boy!! Scroll to the next photo to see how happy he is now :-)
We are so grateful to all the good citizens out there who don't turn a blind eye to dogs in need. So many people do. And I am so glad we were able to take this baby in.

I kinda like it with the border; therefore, I guess it stays.
I trimmed Chuppy's ears horribly, poor baby! I'm never ever coming near his ears with scissors, ever ever again. And the Teddy bear is Chuppy's birthday bear. It's not dead yet, so can I hear a hip hip hooray?? :)
I think that it is going to be awhile before there is not a puppy photo on my front page....
You have been warned.
Caleb's parents just sent me this happy photo of him LOVING his new life :-)
I can't believe it's already been a year since I rescued Caleb! His family moved away and abandoned him in their large yard. I spent an evening, in the pouring rain til the early morning hours trying to earn his trust. Alas, it wasn't enough so I had to come back the next day and try again.
He had been so neglected all his life, he feared human touch and teaching him people can be good and loving was not an easy task.
You can see Caleb's rescue video where he learns to trust a loving hand here: youtu.be/p6-u6hWzGw4
