A good news story! Grey seal numbers, in the UK, have increased from only 500 in the early 20th century to more than 120 000 now. Here are a few of last year's pups.

Imagine 4 otter pups running all over the place with photographers following them. Quite a crazy time. They are so fast in the water and on land. Here they are on the boardwalk or trying to squeeze in.
Thanks so much for the visit!

This pup's best chance is a strong bond with it's mom. This mama seems to have a very good one with her pup. She helped it in every way she could. I observed a lot of bonding activity including the pup riding on her back. You can see how difficult it is for the pup to stay on the log.

During early spring i had the opportunity to watch and photograph red fox pups at their densite, unforgetable moments. You can watch a short clip of them here: youtu.be/Qj7q0BaS5hs
Seen on the far side of Otago Peninsula. Each big wave that came through the rock pool would send them flying and they seemed to love it.
Thanks for visiting. As always comments most appreciated.
Second in my small critters series is this shot of four Black-tailed Prairie Dog pups. We enjoyed watching them venture no more than a few feet from the safety of their burrow and then scurry back at the least hint of a threat. Every November and December, grey seals come to the Donna Nook coastline to give birth to their pups near the sand dunes; a wildlife spectacle which attracts visitors from across the UK. This year over 2205 pups were born, with over 500+ bulls who battle it out for the right to produce the next generation.
Looking forward to see adorable fox pups this spring...Bavaria, Germany
Got more than 7Mio views by now!!! Thanks so much all my Flickr friends and folllowers!!!!
Like all fox pups this one was skittish and curious at the same time. But funny to see how different the siblings are already at this young age, some are more adventerous and some are so shy...anyhow, wonderful critters for sure. Bavaria, Germany

Pictured here is another portrait of our new labrador Jax. It's hard to believe how quick these pups grow up... He's only been with us for about 4 months, but he's quickly gaining in size on our other lab Bailey.
It won't take long before he's bigger than her, as I believe he'll probably grow to 90 - 100+ lbs before all's said and done. He's going to be a big boy for sure considering the size of those paws!

One of at least six or seven fox pups, during the spring i was quite blessed to have so many fox encounters like never before. They're almost fully grown up by now and learn to hunt by themselves. Hope many of them survive and don't get shot. In areas of intense hunting the red fox litter is much bigger (up to 8-10 pups) than in areas where is no or only little hunting (3-4 pups)...Southern Bavaria
So it appears my plans are foiled by the muckity-mucks at flickr.... it seems if you add a picture to a group you can't leave it with favorites only. Members of the group can still comment on the photo.
So, I will just put it out there.. I will continue to post, comment if you wish they have always been and will continue to be greatly appreciated. I will attempt to do the best I can do... but know that I am checking in and I am still enjoying the places you take me!
