Regenbogen rainbow
5 minutes after the pictures it started to rain. Rain and salt water, I realized that in the hotel as the bag dried and the salt edges were left behind. When I had the way back from about 1 km to the car behind me, I was wet to the skin. It was it worth. Well, a rainbow only comes up when water is in the air.

The oldest mountain ranges in Tenerife rose up as islands from the Atlantic Ocean through volcanic eruptions around twelve million years ago. Tenerife as it is today was formed three million years ago by the fusion of three of these 'mountain islands' known today as the ranges of Anaga, Teno and Valle de San Lorenzo.
In this chance image captured on approach to the island's southern airport, the Teno Massif can be seen in the foreground at the north west of the island - characterised by deep ravines ending abruptly in the sea at the cliffs of Los Gigantes. At the centre of the island is Mount Teide which, at 3718m, can be seen from all around the island and from others in the Canarian archipelago.

MONTAÑA DE LA ZAHORRA. VALLE DEL PALMAR. TENERIFE, ESPAÑA
La montaña del Palmar también conocida como La Montaña de la Zahorra se encuentra en el valle del Palmar en la localidad tinerfeña de Buenavista del Norte. Entre los años 60 y 80 una empresa se dedicó a extraer de esta montaña arena llamada zahorra para la construcción. Al ser de origen volcánico mezclándola con cemento, al fraguar, resulta un material extremadamente duro. Cuando la empresa cesó su actividad dejó la montaña horadada tal y como la vemos en la actualidad. El Cabildo de Tenerife ejecutó en el año 2013 obras de estabilización de taludes para acondicionar aquellos tramos de desmontes cercanos a las viviendas que presentaban riesgo de desprendimiento. Para ello, parte del terreno se transformó en terrazas de 2 metros de alto y entre 3 y 3,5 metros de base. Las terrazas favorecen la revegetación natural e incluso su explotación agrícola con lo que se consiguió su integración visual, y se garantizó el control de la erosión hídrica sobre el talud.
La Montaña del Palmar y su valle circundante son un paraíso para los entusiastas del aire libre. Ofrecen un escenario espectacular para el senderismo, la fotografía y la observación de la flora y fauna locales. La riqueza del suelo y la diversidad de paisajes hacen de este lugar un lienzo vivo, donde cada sendero cuenta una historia. Cada vista quita el aliento.

En Tenerife hay un desconocido mirador que ofrece unas vistas únicas y totalmente diferentes del Teide. Desde allí se puede observar cómo el gigante volcán emerge de entre un manto de nubles blancas.

La isla de Tenerife guarda un valioso tesoro. Se trata del mirador de Chipeque, también llamado mirador Cumbres del Norte. Cuando el día está despejado, se puede contemplar el valle de La Orotava. No obstante, las vistas se vuelven todavía más llamativas cuando el cielo está cubierto.
Gracias a su elevada altura, que alcanza los 1.830 metros sobre el nivel del mar, las personas logran sobrepasar las nubes y ante sus ojos aparece un paisaje que se queda grabado para siempre en sus retina. El Teide emerge de un manto blanco que simula una especie de mar.

The lighthouse at Punta de Teno is one of the seven lighthouses which mark out the coast of the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). It is built on the cliffs of the tip which bears his name, in the Parque Natural de Teno, in a place of great beauty, wild and very difficult to access located northwest of the island, in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte. It is a cylindrical tower that was the standard type that prevailed in the design of the lighthouses of the 70s of the twentieth century, built in reinforced concrete and painted white and red stripes, located next to the old lighthouse.
