A 3-D model of blood, perhaps? Or backlit bubble wrap? - I couldn't find the item I first wanted to photograph for this Macro Mondays theme, and had to look for a new idea, which in the end came to me like dreams come together: by odd associations of things that may or may not have been on one's mind during the past day. I've been fascinated by bubble wrap since I was a kid, so here's my visual ode to it... Cropped to this aspect ratio, no other editing. Took me a while to get the light the way I wanted it - all red, and sufficiently dark to evoke a question about what is actually depicted here.
A windy morning on the lake of Geneva. Minor Photo editing. Explore 2017-10-29, highest rating spotted: #230.

Follow every rainbow, till you find your dream
A dream that will need, all the love you can give
Everyday of your life, for as long as you live
~From the song Climb Every Mountain
Taken during one of our berry picking days. I didn't get to pick much because I got busy taking photos of this ladybug walking on raspberries.
Testing the 50mm Zuiko MC Auto-S F1.4 seriously for the first time on a stroll around the corner. I've bought this old, cheap OM-System lens years ago, but never used it on the Pen E-PL3, because it never felt comfortable to handle on a camera this small (it always felt more like a lens with a "grip").
While editing this, an old song came to my mind: Blaze's "Love Is Forever" from their excellent album "25 Years Later" (1990). Since these two hearts look slightly battered (I suppose these are balloons), I think a song this old is appropriate. If you wish to listen to the song, here is a link (YouTube): www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E7fXuDAsuA

You been gone such a long, long time
And now that you’re back, baby
Let’s make up for long lost time

As the sun was rising in the horizon of the archipelago, I decided to try to maximize the exposure time, to get a feel of peacefulness and time.
I used a strong ND filter (-6 stops) for this shot, which gave me a nice and long (approx 80 sec. exposure time). I applied only some minimal curves and saturation in the post process. I hope it delivers a peaceful feel for you, as it did for me when witnessing it this summer.
Lago di Lucendro wishing hikers welcome. Hiking in such scenery is therapeutic. Slight cropping due to not brushing aside a stalk of grass that I later found disturbing; straightened; no other editing. Intentionally underexposed (but not much) in order to get the colors to look like the feast for the eyes that they were. Before this hike I never realized that the almost blood-colored blotches above the tree line on mountains here (until now only seen from afar by me) are due to the red blueberry leaves. Oh and yes, I should have tried focus-stacking by hand (what was I doing with that f stop choice anyway?) but then it would take another year and a half before anyone sees this photo...

Torronsuo is one of the most interesting national parks found in all of Southern Finland. Under the kilometres of duckboard trails lies Finland's deepest bog, which provides visitors with a unique opportunity to see wetland vegetation and wildlife up close and personal.

anger is wired into our dna. anger is a natural and healthy response to injustice, threat, betrayal. just needs to be properly managed and consciously directed -- not ignored or repressed. civil engagement is one way to counter the prevailing dark forces in world affairs.
