BASE Orlando hosted a community event in Downtown Orlando, bodypainting 49 volunteers in different shades of the rainbow to honor and remember the 49 victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting.

Up until now there has never been an Apple Watch charging dock for folks who appreciate Japanese culture and cute things - Mirai Pulse changes this first world problem.
I picked up the Apple Watch after watching the Keynote on WatchOS 3 and decided to get one. After playing around with it for a while and thinking about the Smart Watch market, I saw a trend where the manufacturers are mostly marketing their wearable machines as a health device.
Smart Watches are essentially computers sized down to fit in a watch. What makes the Apple Watch special however is that the form is not hindered by protruding lugs like all other Smart Watches out there - this makes the Apple Watch's rounded rectangle perfect to be put in other places - who said it had to be worn on a wrist?

Another shot of Ogden Point in Victoria. I've been debating how to crop this shot for a few days now, as the original had foreground detail. I like both shots, but in the end went for the 2:1 crop - might post the original another day.
I always have trouble naming my images, as many of you will have noticed I opt for the obvious such as 'Pier' or 'Rocks'!
As I sat staring at this image, it took me ages to see the name was right in front of me all along, courtesy of someone with a spraycan. Look closely!
This time of year, nature's pulse is humming at every turn. I find myself relishing in her melody. Life is full of that inevitable struggle between life and death. I see Spring as the champion for life. Her colors shine bright during this season of birth which brings indispensable relevance and consolation during times of mourning.
Seeing this new sprout come to being reminded me of one of my favorite poem by Theodore Roethke called "Cuttings". Please indulge me as I share this ode with you:
This urge, wrestle, resurrection of dry sticks,
Cut stems struggling to put down feet,
What saint strained so much,
Rose on such lopped limbs to a new life?
I can hear, underground, that sucking and sobbing,
In my veins, in my bones I feel it –
The small waters seeping upward,
The tight grains parting at last.
When sprouts break out,
