My inspiration for these photographs came from my love for the film Pulp Fiction by one of my favourite directors, Quentin Tarantino. My main focus was characterisation-capturing a similar bold expression and feeling to that of the overconfident, forward character of Mia Wallace. I also wanted to create a cinematic effect mirroring the film, using a similar colour palette, an almost identical costume and a model with an uncanny likeness to Uma Thurman

Just another exercise in pulp style painting. Done in the Gimp over several hours using a wacom "fun". I used G'MIC to add grain and tweak the colour.
