Pulp fue un grupo creado en Sheffield, en Inglaterra a finales de los 70, aunque su primer disco se editó en 1983. Del grupo destaca su carismático líder, Jarvis Cocker, uno de los estandartes del brit pop. La destreza a la hora de componer letras de Cocker fue creciendo y obtuvo su mayor reconocimiento en la mitad de los 90 con discos redondos como His 'n' Hers o el Different Class.
Pulp apostó también por una estética de grupo uniforme muy bien cuidada ya que se han visto influenciados por grupos como Roxy Music o cantantes como David Bowie.
