Traditional stone pulling ceremony of the Angami Nagas at Kigwema village near Kohima, performed at the Hornbill festival 2014.
Following an act of sanctification performed by the village head GB Nesakole Mera, a stone measuring 15 feet in length, 4 feet wide and 2 feet in thickness, tied with thick and long vines was pulled by hundreds of men in two rows to a stretch of about 1km to Kholera Ground, Kigwema.
The men displayed their strength pulling the massive stone intoning traditional cries while the womenfolk waited on them along the roadside.
This event was held to commemorate the Platinum meet of the Kigwema Youth Organisation on December 2, 2014. The Monolith was unveiled on January 14, 2015 to mark 75 years of the Kigwema Youth Organization. Monoliths in the Naga tradition are engraved to mark a significant event or achievement.

Just another little (it's like an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter) snapshot I found amusing. I'm thinking of selling it on Ebay, where it should bring five or ten dollars (it was a fifty cent find). Here's a "Pull My Finger" primer, for those of you in the dark.
Oh yeah, on the back of the photo, someone has written, "Save," (with two underscores),
"8 wks," with a circle drawn around it, and "Shoo??" down at the bottom, with a box drawn around it. Make of that what you will.

Small idols of Lord Ganesha are easy to be carried to the water for the immersion process but huge idols of Lord Ganesha are being pulled down by lots of people to the sea water. As you can people are pulling the idol with the rope and trying to make their way to the water. Before pulling the idol down the idol decoration stuff is being removed and then a final prayer takes place.

The R train pulls into the 59th Street station. I've never been a huge fan of Subways (glorified buses on rails) but I have to admit the amount of people these trains move in and out of New York City every day is very impressive!

Try types of Pull Ups according to your mood. Some of the variations are easy while some are very hard. You will have to practice for a few days to do the hard ones. If you like challenges then you will surely love these different types of pull ups.
Second hand clothes shop, Stoke Newington High Street. The building used to house a Halfords store, which presumably explains the use of number plates for the door signs.
Lens EXIF data not recorded correctly. The lens was a 7Artisans 35mm f/0.95. Aperture used unknown.

It was a more difficult recovery than normal, as the recovery lorry couldn't just reverse up to the front of the bus. Therefore, a Land Rover had to pull it backwards first. Said Land Rover is McAllisters Recovery LA02 LXD. It's just finished pulling it back here, and after this was complete, it drove off, leaving the other guy to sort the rest of it out.

Conrail ME-2 spots and pulls cars out of Solterra on the Delco Lead, taken from the How Lane overpass in North Brunswick. From this point of view, the skyline of Downtown New Brunswick is visible, creating a nice backdrop as the train goes about its usual business. The ME-2 is the last daylight local east of Metuchen and can typically be seen on the Northeast Corridor on weekdays.
Her arms were folded most indignant
Not looking like she was soon to leave
I had to squint in order to believe
And then like a pull and push in on a bookshelf
I'm unveiling the unexpected
How he was ever gonna look to her
Should've been embarrassed and corrected
How could such a creature survive in such a habitat.
