8/6/2014: I took today off so I could pick up my niece from SFO. We had lunch at Japantown and then I dropped her off home. After getting back into town, we had a family dinner to celebrate my sister's birthday. On the way home, I remarked that today felt like a Friday and I was bummed that I needed to go back to work on Thursday. :(

01.06.2015: Oh my gosh, it's been a busy 2 days at work. I can't believe it's only Tuesday! The office is gearing up for one of our key persons to go on medical leave for 2 months so we've been switching around duties. And I've gotten a lot of those extra duties so it's been crazy. By the time I get home, I just want to relax and decompress with a good book. Cowie agrees that this is best until things calm down at work.

It's that time of year when Cuties are season, and I couldn't be happier! Compared to regular oranges, they are pretty expensive, but then in the past decade, I can't remember when I had an orange that pithy or didn't taste like a lemon.
These oranges are marketed to children as adorable, easy-to-eat fruit. If that's the case, I'll be happy to tap the inner kid in me everyday until the season is over.
