This is one of the more famous watering holes in Dublin City, called The Temple Bar. It's actually bright red but I thought this version looked better.

The Edward VII public house is still basically a good old-fashioned town centre pub. It is situated on Ryton Street in the middle of Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

There is said to have been a hostelry here since the 12th century: the “tiger” bit is thought to refer to the three leopards crest of the de Dene family. The present structure dates from the 16th century, as evident in its oak beams. from Fri 19 Nov 2021 www.theguardian.com/travel/2021/nov/19/a-great-walk-to-a-...

Originating from 1635 and steeped in history this distinctive green tiled pub on the quayside is popular with locals and tourists alike. This pub in Redbourn, Hertfordshire, was already mentioned in the 16th century. It finally closed down in 2015 - one other victim of the changing times. After an archaeological dig was carried out - showing the medieval roots of the place and the brewing activity over centuries - the building is now being converted into residential dwellings. The second pub on Redbourn's High Street dying within a short period of time.

HOME OF THE THIRD

The Draft House is a small group of #PublicHouses which aims to do for #beer what our culture has done for #food and #wine over the past twenty years. Namely, we take its provenance, cellaring and serving seriously. We celebrate choice and quality with an extra-ordinary range of strange and wonderful brews.

"Britain is full of public houses of all shapes, sizes and varieties, but I felt we'd lost something special in recent years from British life and I wanted to provide a place that recaptured my idea of the perfect public house."

#TheDraftHouse is a charming place where you can - alone or with others - experience great beer, good food, interesting people and great conversation. It's a refuge for the soul for everyone who values civility in today's world. It's always genuine, staffed by people who love their job, packed with interesting stuff, plays good music and is frequented by people just like you.

The Farmers Arms pub (or Farmer's Arms) off Bickenhall Lane at West Hatch, Taunton Deane in Somerset.

A 16th century inn... in a converted farmhouse.

On the River Thame at Shabbington, Buckinghamshire

Described on their website as 13th Century, but 1364 shown on the building. Pretty old anyway.

On Exeter Quay, Devon. This pub is situated on the quay between the Custom House and the historic warehouses. Richard Sercombe, who was a ferry man of Trinity parish in 1803, is probably responsible for opening the Fountain Inn, which was later renamed. see www.exetermemories.co.uk/em/_pubs/prospect.php

A pub called The Three Pigeons has stood here since the middle of the 18th century. A fire badly damaged the inn in 1916 and it was rebuilt two years later. The design of the new frontage was inspired by a late 17th century house on Oxford's High Street. Like many buildings on Guildford's ancient High Street, it is reputed to be haunted.

Dating back to the 1500s as a coaching inn and known then as the Tabret or Tabard. Over the centuries the Talbot as been part of so much of Ledbury Towns history, during the English civil war of the 1640s, there were fierce fighting in the town between the Royalist and Parliamentary forcers, musket shot and bullet holes from this period of time have been found in the walls of the now dining room.

What a difference a day makes... sunshine and not wind...
