I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)
The Four Tops 1965
One of the most well-known Motown recordings of the 1960s
These tiny opistobranchs come also in green/blue. They are about 10mm in size. They lay their white egg strings beneath rocks. Anilao, South Luzon, Philippines.
The glasshouse at RHS Wisley during the Glow event ( which will last just into the new year ) . The glasshouse is brightly lit inside and you can walk through the plants inside bathed in light . There is a shot by David on flickr with the light reflecting on the water that surrounds the glasshouse . Unfortunately on my visit there was enough breeze to disturb the surface of the water and any reflections were not to be had in any detail .
A little light music to trip to
This picture shows the pixels of a grey tiny region of my computer monitor (about 3x2 mm, or even less). I distorted the image because I liked the effect of it looking like an eye.
Roughly speaking, a pixel, or picture element, is the smallest controllable element of a picture represented on the screen. Each pixel is composed of a Red, Green and Blue parts (RGB colors), so all the colors we see in the screens come from combinations of different intensities of the RGB colors.
Hopefully, this explanation was not very confusing.
I used a macro lens attached to my mobile to take the picture.
The camera values are f/1.8, 1/24s, ISO 400.
During my visit in Rotterdam, I absolutely wanted go through the markthall, which is a giant building full of local markets, bars and restaurants. It's a very crowded place, I had to wait a while till I had nobody in my frame to grab this shot. Patience is a vertue.

kind of reversed the colors for effect...this causes specific psychological, visual changes, and often a substantially altered state of consciousness. ;)

This shot was taken on Dec 28th at Farlington Marshes.
I went out hoping to find some owls but luckily had my wide angle lens with me.
Many thanks as always to all who take the time to comment and like my photos.
Id like to take this opportunity to wish every one a happy new year.
You can't make this stuff up!! The sky was crazy beautiful this morning. Maelia - maybe the clouds were making up for your little lonely one! LOL
Just visited a beautiful Christmas lights event in a large country park in Margam, S.Wales. This is one nanosecond of a moving projection on the huge mansion house at its centre. It made me think back to all those psychedelic prog albums I still have from the 60's!
The house was built between 1830-40 but severely damaged by fire in 1977. It has a strong link to the history of photography, where Henry Fox Talbot took one of the earliest ever photographic views.
Will put a few more up from the show in the next week.

Macro Mondays 'forks' theme.
I'm uploading this shot for the forks theme on Sunday evening as I won't have much time in the morning.
Tomorrow is my mum's funeral and the service plus travelling time will take most of the day. I will be back to view the pool and comment in the evening.
Two small cake forks - the total width of the image measures 1.5 inches
