Trichodes alvearius, le Trichode des ruches ou Clairon des ruches, est une espèce d'insectes coléoptères de la famille des Cleridae.
Essentiellement phytophage, il se trouve généralement à l'âge adulte sur des apiacées, astéracées et aubépines. Il chasse parfois et se nourrit de proies constituées majoritairement d'espèces des genres Oedemera, Psilothrix, Stenopterus et Clytus.

Essentiellement phytophage, il se trouve généralement à l'âge adulte sur des apiacées, astéracées et aubépines. Il chasse parfois et se nourrit de proies constituées majoritairement d'espèces des genres Oedemera, Psilothrix, Stenopterus et Clytus. Les larves vivent dans les nids d'hyménoptères dont elles dévorent les larves, d'où le nom alvearius qui désigne les alvéoles des ruches. L'imago est visible de mai à août.
Trichodes alvearius is a very hairy beetle with black head and scutellum. The elongated elytra show a bright red colour with black bands. This species can easily be distinguished from Trichodes apiarius by the black stripe down the middle of the back (along the inner edge of the elytra) and the red apex, not reached by the black terminal stain. It does not fly readily, relying instead on its warning coloration to protect itself from predators.
The adults can be encountered from May through August on the flowers, mainly Apiaceae, Asteraceae and Crataegus species, feeding on pollen. However, they integrate their diet with small insects that they actively hunt, especially Oedemera, Psilothrix, Stenopterus and Clytus species.
Well this is a little different for me but it is still Dungeness . Psilothrix viridicoerulea is a soft-winged flower beetle belonging to the family Melyridae
There are localized populations ( most often found in the south of England ) although common in Europe .
Often easy to spot in its bright blue-green and reaching a Max size 10 mm . They adopt the ploy of dropping to the ground to escape when disturbed .Seen here eating pollen from a common Dandelion .

Perteneciente a la Familia Melyridae (Subfamilia Dasytinae), cuyas especies son de entre 1,4-8 mm de largo. Son escarabajos estilizados y dorsalmente aplanados. El protórax puede ser más corto que ancho, o tan largo como ancho. Antenas cortas y filiformes con 9-11 artejos. Asociados a flores y plantas, donde algunas especies se alimentan de polen.

Se nutre de polen de compuestas, rosaceas y cistaceas, tambien puede cazar pequeños insectos que se encuentren en las flores

I'm not sure what happened here, apparently the larval exoskeleton was stuck. This beautiful beetle moved well and was apparently in good condition.
