Backstory:September 13th 2016, the day just before super typhoon Marenti, which CNN called it the strongest typhoon of the year, hit Taiwan, it was a sunny beautiful day~By the evening, I drove to Carrefour to buy some stuff preparing for the typhoon, it was still a bright day. But when I drove out of parking garage, not only it poured outside but also the whole sky and clouds became yellow! All I could see became yellow!Very bizarre scene! It seemed like the whitebalance went wrong, color tempture got too low. In other word, I felt like I was in certain picture, but it was real!Real World!
I tried to capture that bizarre scene and color, but I was sitting in the car, so what I could to is to take picture from the window. At first, I felt a little bit depressed becaue I didn't think it cloud capture what I saw, but in the end, the picture is better than I thought~:)
夏も終わりだなぁ…やり残したことあります?
みなさん、よい週末を :)
Is there anthing you haven't done it yet?
Have a nice weekend, Friends :)
Here's the conversation between my husband and I while I was working on this image. Keep in mind my husband is a total nerd . . . or are they referred to as "geeks" now? Is "nerd" politically incorrect? Anyways, keep in mind my husband is a total nerd and is really into science and astronomy. I like science and astronomy too, but I'm nowhere near his nerd level.
Me: [motions Jason over to see what I'm working on] "I'm sending the rhino to the moon. First of all, the balloons would be bigger than in previous rhino-balloon images due to the lack of atmospheric pressure, yes? Secondly, could we see the earth glow from this location in relation to the moon?"
Jason: "You are asking me if your image is scientifically accurate?"
Me: "Yes. I want to make it believable."
Jason: "You are actually telling me that you want this image to look believable???"
Me: "Ugh, YES! Why are you not answering my technical questions?! Also, do you think the scale of the moon is accurate in relation to the rhino?"
Jason: [just stands behind me not saying a word, then walks away]
Sheesh, some help he was.
been trying to get the courage to ask interesting people on the street if i can take their photos, so it was nice to have an actual friend ask for a picture today. good practice for when i finally give it a try.
