In Proverbs 19, wisdom we find,

Teaching us to be humble and kind.

Folly leads to ruin and strife,

But understanding brings a better life.

Lazy hands bring poverty's sting,

Hard work is the key to everything.

Truthful lips are a joy to hear,

Deceitful words will cause you to fear.

A hot-tempered person can lose their cool,

But patience is a virtue, a precious jewel.

Honoring parents brings a long life,

Disobedience only leads to strife.

These wise sayings we should heed,

To live a life that will succeed.

In Proverbs 19, we find great treasure,

To live in wisdom, a life of pleasure.

Proverbs 17 is full of wise sayings,

Teaching us how to live with right meanings.

A true friend loves at all times,

And will be with you through the toughest climbs.

A joyful heart is good medicine,

And can lift the spirit of even a burdensome den.

The Lord tests hearts and knows our thoughts,

So let us seek wisdom, and learn from our faults.

A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,

But loves to air his own misunderstanding.

A gentle tongue can break a bone,

And a kind word can make a house a home.

Blessings crown the head of the righteous,

And their paths are made prosperous and gracious.

Let us seek peace and shun strife,

For in unity, we find true life.

You can get the horses ready for battle, but it is the Lord who gives the victory.

The wise seek knowledge and instruction,

But fools despise correction's function.

Diligence brings satisfaction,

But slothfulness leads to destruction.

Honesty is the path of the just,

But deceitfulness leads to distrust.

Wealth from labor is a must,

But poverty comes from unjust.

The righteous walk on the way of light,

But the wicked stumble in the night.

A good word brings joy and delight,

But the deceitful tongue causes fright.
