The Book of Proverbs is dedicated to the believer becoming rich in the Wisdom of God. The Wisdom of God being an aspect of God's Character. Over the years, I've met many people who could be said to be rich in the material equivalent of gold and rubies, but, as this proverb declares, "the lips of knowledge are a rare jewel." How wonderful to hear a great sermon or an insight of Godly Counsel on the lips of one of our sisters or brothers in faith. How beautiful is a timely word!

The good news is that God is massively generous, and He gives wisdom to those who are hungry for wisdom. As James says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1 verse 5)

Let us ask God for the rare jewel of lips of knowledge today - to share that wealth with others, and to receive that wealth from others, too, in the Body of Christ.
