Highway of Heroes Canada Blooms Tribute
Honouring our military, cooling the environment and beautifying North Americaβs most travelled highway.
When a member of Canadaβs Armed Forces falls in combat, his or her final journey is along the Highway of Heroes from CFB Trenton to the Coronerβs Office in Toronto.
We are planting 2 million trees along the 401 Highway of Heroes, a tribute to the men and women who fought for Canada in our wars, and a living memorial to the 117,000 who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
Every Canadian can be a part of this historic tribute. Look at the names on the cenotaph in YOUR community. Help us to honour those from YOUR community and ensure their spirit lives on in a living tribute!

Granville Island is the famous tourist attraction in Vancouver and a photogenic place.
The Canadian Flag is 50 years old today (15 February). 98 years after Canada became a nation they finally settled on an official flag. Before that, we could flythe British Union Jack or one of the many "government approved" variations of the "Red Ensign".
In 1996 the Canadian government made February 15 "National Flag Day - although few Canadians know this, nor celebrate it.
We proudly fly this Canadian flag - near our front door - every day!
I feel partly as if I've been runover by a large vehicle and partly the happy hockey hangover of a non-drinker. The common word being OVER.
Yes, its over but what a fantastic 17 days it was. Now sping has arrived and we go forward that much prouder to be Canadians.

Pizzas and Errands- September 4, 2016
Good morning guys, I hope your weekend is going well! Yesterday Colleen and I thought we'd check out this local pizzeria near by- called Blaze pIzza. It opened up back in April but we never had a chance to check it out until yesterday! We were not disappointed. πIt was really good!
Then after we had errands to do. We ended the day off with cleaning the house and sorting some LEGO. We are getting ready for something BIG!

Being a Canadian makes me both happy and proud. I took a similar shot a few years back with a different pair of red shoes (yes, I like red shoes) in the fall leaves. This time, I thought it would be nice to take one in the snow and this leaf was frozen to my walkway this morning :) Have a great day folks.
Taken last year in Almonte Ontario. These decorated and proud gents sat aboard a Willy jeep for the Remembrance Day parade, and were loving all the waves and attention. Deservedly So!
John is originally from Hong Kong. He has lived in Canada for the last 16 years. Before he moved to London, Ontario, he spent three years living and working in Chinatown, in the other London. In case you are not aware, there is also a London in England, ... lol, tee hee heee!
I explained the 100 Strangers Group to him and he agreed to be #25, even though I know he more than likely didn't understand a word I said about it. He was enthusiastic about it. Maybe he understood more than I thought. Maybe it is I who wasn't understanding.
He likes Canada, he said he likes democracy. He told me he is very proud to be a Canadian.

Good morning guys, hope ur having an awesome Wednesday! Today's #VLOG is up. I like to celebrate the little things and find excuses to enjoy the time you been blessed getting to know some incredible people in you life.
I love to celebrate monthaversaries- lol it's really ridiculous but I love finding reasons to do something different and experience new things with my best friend. Colleen hates it hahaha π Every 6th day of the month- we do something awesome!
