Kill the Bill protests, Sheffield.

A young couple offer love and comfort to each other against a backdrop of protesters' sensible footwear. I like this photo, I feel that I have caught a moment of tenderness and also, it is as though the other protestors have formed a protective shield around them. I see this as an image of hope.

Flickr's slowness and much more ...

We all that are protesting, we all love flickr, if not it would be very easy to leave and migrate towards another site...

And we all will migrate if the new layout will be implemented without option, boycotting Yahoo and everything related to it !

Here another initiative, you can sign this:

petition

and divulgate it.

-----------------------

Oxford Rejects Homophobes!

Exeter College hosted the group Christian Concern to hold a conference. The students believe that this group is anti lgbtq rights, anti Islam, and anti choice. They also believe that these values have no place in Oxford and should not be implicitly supported by allowing the group to hold a conference here. The student s were encouraging people to join the protest and to also make it clear that Oxford, and the student body is absolutely opposed,

the ara was there too, to protest the other protestors

You know what? I saw a lot of the protesters out there, faces covered, trying to be shady. These protesters were out in the open, causing no problems and being amicable to people.

I'm with them. I share their message.

There were some other students protesting for "Safe Data Mining" but I didn't get a chance to photograph them. I have to say, I'm all for "Safe Data Mining."

Hamburg was on fire last weekend, but the majority of people chose a peaceful way to show their protest. One of them was the rave against G20 with the lovely german name "Lieber tanz ich als G20". 25,000 people dancing and protesting against injustice; spreading love to the beat. Now on my blog: www.zielecki.com/blog/g20-protests-lieber-tanz-ich-als-g20

Thousands of teachers, pupils, parents and grandparents took to the streets of Brighton and Hove today to protest about government funding and pay. They were joined by members of other unions as could be seen from some of the banners.

The rally and march were in protest of a federal appeals court ruling earlier this week that Kamehameha Schools' practice of giving admissions preference to students of Hawaiian blood violates federal civil rights laws, first passed in 1866, barring private institutions from discriminating on the basis of race. -Honolulu Advertiser
