21/10/17. #1755. The Royal Scot crossing the River Adur on the partially re-painted bridge at a high spring tide.
I was among a small group of men and boys waiting for the delayed appearance of the loco. Luckily, it arrived during a sunny gap as clouds driven by storm Brian whizzed across the sky

"Quinag is a 'Y' shaped mountain mass that fills the area north of Loch Assynt and south of Loch a Chairn Bhain, perhaps better known as the sea loch now crossed by the beautifully curving bridge at Kylesku, and unusual in offering the energetic walker no fewer than three separate mountains over 2,500ft (Corbetts) in a single day's outing. This also means that this is no easy day out. While Munros can often be strung together along a ridge with no great drop between them, a mountain only becomes a Corbett if it drops by at least 500 feet on all sides. So even though the usual starting point for this walk is at a height of 250m, a tour of all the summits is a fairly major undertaking." ©Undiscovered Scotland

16/01/18 #1842. The gin clear skies have gone, with low cloud over the Bernina Pass at times today. Some fresh falls of snow and some drifting meant for tricky driving conditions. Not a problem as tomorrow we start the drive back to the UK
13/8/16 #1321. Very fast and very loud, the RAF Typhoon was the climax to Saturday's action at the Eastbourne Airshow. On the tight turns in the humid conditions, clouds of water vapour appeared in the low pressure area above the wings - marvellous.
