Two generations stand side by side, united by an unspoken promise — to watch, to protect, to guard.
With eyes turned toward the endless horizon, their silent embrace speaks of trust, strength, and care.
The sea, vast and wild, is both their challenge and their home, where experience meets youthful courage.
In this quiet moment, the older hand rests gently on the younger shoulder, a timeless bond woven in the language of the tides.
It took little convincing to get Stacy, the man at right who was panhandling on an Evanston street corner, to join in on a photo with a few of Evanston PD. The warmer weather seems to make everyone a little better natured today.
A touching memorial, saw this whilst cycling around Great Cumbrae. I took the images separately. I wanted to capture the spirit on land, air and sea. I am fill with gratitude for the bravery of these young souls.
Thank you.
It's National Police Week here in the U.S. so I thought I'd post this photo of a motorcycle cop I took few weeks back.

Police vans, such as the Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, are widely used across the United Kingdom and incorporate a cage to hold prisoners. Although in the United States it is usual to carry a prisoner in a police car, some British forces do not permit this, as most police cars have no barrier between the front and back seats to protect the officers.
Each police force has different policies on prisoner transportation. Some allow compliant prisoners to be transported in response cars, ensuring that one officer sits in the rear with the prisoner, and the prisoner sits behind the passenger seat.
Larger vans are also used to act as mobile control room at major incidents, and may also carry specialized equipment such as hydraulic door entry and cutting tools.
Minibuses are used to carry groups of police officers, for example to public order and major incidents, and for inner-city patrols.
One notable example is the Mercedes Sprinter used by the Metropolitan Police's Territorial Support Group.
Other public order minibuses include the Vauxhall Movano and the Iveco Daily.
They are usually fitted with riot shields to protect the windscreen from damage.

Interesting Fact about the city of Isle of Palms:
Originally named Hunting Island and then Long Island, it's thought to be at least 25,000 years old, and first inhabited by the indigenous Seewee Indians. The Seewees were said to have greeted the first English settlers to the area by swimming to the ships and carrying the travelers to shore

An unexpected accident or a High Speed Pursuit at Sepulveda Blvd., and 118 Freeway on-ramp between Chatsworth St., and San Fernando Mission Blvd.
I happened to be driving south on Cahuenga Blvd., when I saw a police vehicle and people filming and taking photos with their camera phones. I turned around and parked to get out and see what was happening.
Two men at the top of the hill were harassing two police officers who had detained four people near the on-ramp of the 101 Hollywood Freeway. One of the men recording on his phone, complained to me that the officers were biased/racist because the black man was handcuffed but the female was not.

...of white gloves and the brassard. Being an MP is one of the best jobs I ever had. When I enlisted it was more of a personal challenge to prove, to myself more than anything, that I could do it....and I DID! I am forever grateful for that opportunity and forever respectful of our military, my husband, who is currently deployed and my son, who will be taking his turn to serve as he leaves for basic in July. God Bless our great country and the men and women brave enough to protect it.
