Aqui em Portugal costuma dizer-se que "o fruto proibido é o mais apetecido". E todos sabemos que desejamos sempre o que não podemos ter... Mas lá está, também se diz que a "esperança é a última coisa a morrer"!
Eu quero saúde. Não me posso queixar neste aspecto, mas há muita gente que tem razões de sobra para se queixar. No entanto, eu quero saúde e desejo que todos a tenham.
Eu quero paz e prosperidade. Também não me posso queixar neste aspecto na "bolha" da minha casa, mas se todos estivermos com um mínimo de atenção, observamos que, infelizmente, para a prosperidade de alguns, a paz é uma utopia para milhões de pessoas e a guerra ceifa vidas e causa danos irreparáveis todos os dias. No entanto eu quero paz e prosperidade e desejo que todos a tenham.
Todos os anos é a mesma conversa, todos desejam o "fruto proibido": "boas saídas, melhores entradas, tudo do melhor para todos", mas, o que é que vemos? Exactamente! Mas não é isso que me impede de cumprir a tradição e desejar a todos boas saídas, melhores entradas e tudo do melhor para fodos. O fruto proibido. Feliz ano novo!

Here in Portugal, we often say that ‘forbidden fruit is the most desirable’. And we all know that we always want what we cannot have... But then again, they also say that ‘hope is the last thing to die’!
I want health. I can't complain in this regard, but there are many people who have plenty of reasons to complain. However, I want health and I want everyone to have it.
I want peace and prosperity. I can't complain in this regard either, in the ‘bubble’ of my home, but if we all pay a little attention, we can see that, unfortunately, for the prosperity of a few, peace is a utopia for millions of people, and war claims lives and causes irreparable damage every day. However, I want peace and prosperity, and I wish everyone could have it.

A fachada ocidental da Catedral de San Lorenzo, em Génova, Itália, é um exemplo notável da arquitetura de transição românico-gótica. A estrutura apresenta um paramento bicolor em faixas horizontais de mármore branco de Carrara e ardósia preta, simbolizando nobreza e prestígio cívico na arquitetura medieval lígure. Os três portais góticos, edificados no início do século XIII sob influência de mestres franceses, apresentam arquivoltas profundas e colunas polícromas. O tímpano do portal central destaca-se pela sua complexidade iconográfica, retratando o Cristo em Majestade e o martírio de São Lourenço sobre a grelha. A base da fachada é ladeada por leões de pedra, adicionados durante intervenções no século XIX. Esta fachada não apenas é um centro espiritual, mas também um testemunho tangível da prosperidade e influência cultural da antiga República Marítima de Génova.
The western façade of the San Lorenzo Cathedral in Genoa, Italy, is a notable example of Romanesque-Gothic transitional architecture. The structure features a bicolor horizontal striped pattern of Carrara white marble and black slate, symbolizing nobility and civic prestige in medieval Ligurian architecture. The three Gothic portals, built in the early 13th century under French masters' influence, feature deep archivolts and polychrome columns. The central portal's tympanum stands out for its iconographic complexity, depicting Christ in Majesty and the martyrdom of Saint Lawrence on the grill. The façade's base is flanked by stone lions, added during 19th-century interventions. A Catedral de Santa Maria Assunta, também conhecida como Duomo di Pisa, é um exemplo marcante da arquitetura românica pisana, inaugurada em 1118 e situada na Piazza dei Miracoli, integrada ao Património Mundial da UNESCO. A construção começou em 1064, refletindo a prosperidade da República Marítima de Pisa. O interior apresenta uma fusão de influências bizantinas, islâmicas e clássicas, evidenciada nas colunas de mármore com capitéis coríntios e nas faixas alternadas de mármore preto e branco. Colombo é unha cidade en decadencia. Unha decadencia presidida por unha torre de comunicacións realizada polos chineses, simulando un longo talo coroado polo que parece ser unha flor de loto, aínda que para a min é mais unha alcachofa que cambia de cor polas noites.
Colombo é tamén unha cidade chea de conversacións e de xente. Rúas ateigadas onde coñecidos e descoñecidos páranse para falar. Un cingales achegase en nun mal ingles queixase de que os seus políticos, desde a independencia, están empeñados en levar ao país cara atrás. Estrañaba a prosperidade da época colonial sinalándome ao noso redor o estado dos edificios. O certo é que non lle faltaba razón. Barrios e maxestosos edificacións coloniais inglesas e holandeses languidecen no abandono, salvo os poucos , que a intervención de cadeas hostaleiras extranxeiras, salvaron da ruína. Ao seu lado paupérrimos esqueletos de formigón inacabados que ven colonizados por unha amálgama de ladrillo e latón que sen orde e concerto que van pechando os ocos , como a xente que vai pechando o seu dia a dia no medio dun mar de corruptelas e traballos en negro
Esta aparente decadencia contrasta coa hiperactividade que ao longo do país desenvolven os seus habitantes, que enchen rúas e estradas, sorprendentemente limpas, con tendas e pequenos negocios , mesturando compras con rezos nun sincretismo que se estende aos seus templos , onde conviven ritos , deuses e crenzas en harmonía baixo un mesmo teito
Algo non cadra, algo que se perde na espesura da súa natureza vibrante que invade todo dun verde intenso, xa sexan bosque tropicais, outeiros rotuladas de plantacións de cha ou as palmeiras colgantes ás beira dun mar turquesa de augas cálidas e transparentes. A Catedral de Notre-Dame de Paris é uma das mais antigas catedrais francesas em estilo gótico. Iniciada sua construção no ano de 1163, é dedicada a Maria, Mãe de Jesus Cristo (daí o nome Notre-Dame – Nossa Senhora), situa-se na praça Parvis, na pequena ilha Île de la Cité em Paris, França, rodeada pelas águas do Rio Sena.
A catedral surge intimamente ligada à ideia de gótico no seu esplendor, ao efeito claro das necessidades e aspirações da sociedade da altura, a uma nova abordagem da catedral como edifício de contacto e ascensão espiritual.
A arquitectura gótica é um instrumento poderoso no seio de uma sociedade que vê, no início do século XI, a vida urbana transformar-se a um ritmo acelerado. A cidade ressurge com uma extrema importância no campo político, no campo económico (espelho das crescentes relações comerciais), ascendendo também, por seu lado, a burguesia endinheirada e a influência do clero urbano. Resultado disto é uma substituição também das necessidades de construção religiosa fora das cidades, nas comunidades monásticas rurais, pelo novo símbolo da prosperidade citadina, a catedral gótica. E como reposta à procura de uma nova dignidade crescente no seio de França, surge a Catedral de Notre-Dame de Paris.

Notre Dame de Paris (IPA: [nɔtʁ dam də paʁi]; French for Our Lady of Paris), also known as Notre Dame Cathedral, is a Gothic, Catholic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, France. It is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris: that is, it is the church that contains the cathedra (official chair) of the Archbishop of Paris, currently André Vingt-Trois. The cathedral treasury houses a reliquary with the purported Crown of Thorns.
Notre Dame de Paris is widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture in France and in Europe, and the naturalism of its sculptures and stained glass are in contrast with earlier Romanesque architecture. The first period of construction from 1163 into 1240s coincided with the musical experiments of the Notre Dame school.
Jean de Jandun recognized the cathedral as one of Paris's three most important buildings in his 1323 "Treatise on the Praises of Paris":
“that most terrible church of the most glorious Virgin Mary, mother of God, deservedly shines out, like the sun among stars. And although some speakers, by their own free judgment, because [they are] able to see only a few things easily, may say that some other is more beautiful, I believe however, respectfully, that, if they attend more diligently to the whole and the parts, they will quickly retract this opinion. Where indeed, I ask, would they find two towers of such magnificence and perfection, so high, so large, so strong, clothed round about with such a multiple variety of ornaments? Where, I ask, would they find such a multipartite arrangement of so many lateral vaults, above and below? Where, I ask, would they find such light-filled amenities as the many surrounding chapels? Furthermore, let them tell me in what church I may see such a large cross, of which one arm separates the choir from the nave. Na Praça da República, em Cabeceiras de Basto, evidenciam-se edifícios do século XIX e XX, cujas fachadas inteiramente revestidas a azulejo refletem uma tradição arquitetónica portuguesa. Os azulejos, principalmente em padrões geométricos de azul e branco, não somente conferem uma estética única, mas também protegem as construções da humidade do clima atlântico. Este estilo é associado aos "brasileiros de torna-viagem", emigrantes que, ao regressar, desejavam exibir a sua prosperidade. As varandas em ferro forjado e portas em madeira complementam essa estética típica. O azulejo, além de ser um marcador identitário da região norte de Portugal, foi também tema de exposições como «Azulejos da nossa Praça», que destacaram a importância deste património. A Praça da República, com o Mosteiro de S. Miguel de Refojos, é um dos principais pontos de interesse do centro histórico, funcionando como um espaço público vital para a comunidade local e refletindo a interligação entre a história e a vida contemporânea.
In Praça da República, in Cabeceiras de Basto, there are buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries, whose facades are entirely covered with tiles, reflecting a Portuguese architectural tradition. The tiles, mainly in blue and white geometric patterns, not only give the buildings a unique aesthetic, but also protect them from the humidity of the Atlantic climate. A escultura em mármore do século I d.C. representa Ceres, deusa romana da agricultura, colheitas e fertilidade, equivalente à grega Deméter. Originária da scaenae frons do Teatro Romano de Mérida, a peça reflete a ligação entre a arte e a religião na antiga Emerita Augusta, capital da Lusitânia. A postura majestosa da figura, vestida em túnica e manto com drapeados elaborados, destaca a técnica escultórica romana e o caráter solene do culto. Os atributos perdidos, como espigas de trigo ou cornucópia, reforçariam a identificação com Ceres, simbolizando a abundância agrícola e o papel do imperador na garantia da prosperidade. Esta escultura, endereçada à cultura local, ilustra o sincretismo entre a religiosidade clássica e a propaganda imperial. Atualmente, a obra integra a coleção permanente do Museu Nacional de Arte Romana, um centro de referência para o estudo do património romano na Península Ibérica.
The 1st-century AD marble sculpture depicts Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture, harvests, and fertility, equivalent to the Greek Demeter. The ceiling of the Royal Palace of Caserta's Staircase of Honor, designed by Luigi Vanvitelli in the 18th century, culminates the scenic experience of the space. The central fresco, "The Palace of Apollo", by Gerolamo Starace-Franchis (c. 1789), glorifies Apollo and the Muses, in an allegory to the magnificence and patronage of the arts by the Bourbons. 2010 is ending ... Today is a day we say goodbye to the old year and say welcome the new year. It is also a day of reflection, where we renew our hopes, we do projects, some do lists with your desires and goals .. to try to follow them throughout the year. Never did a list like this .. but I'm visualizing what I want everything to happen as of tomorrow .. for me, for the people close and to the not so close, to the world!
I think it's important to always have mind positive, not only today but always! Positive thinking always attracts positive things ..
If by chance your year was not so good, mentalize now, a better year to come! That's what I hope for you!
