The Proposal: I had loved many women over the centuries, but this one was different. She brought out something in me I hadn’t felt with the others—a sense of being complete. A rather odd statement for the God of War to make, but it was true.

The image of the couple, Adam and Caleigh, was taken outside of the school and cropped using the magnetic lasso tool. The eraser was used to finish up the cropping and then the edges were softened using blur. A background was obtained via the internet and pasted as a new layer. This layer was then transformed and obscured to match the angle of the subjects. The burn tool was used to create shadow, and finally, the text tool formed the writing.

Word of the Week
I asked an actress, Caleigh, for her services in acquiring a photo for the word of the week assignment. She agreed and I started drawing out possible poses. The next A day, after school, she and her boyfriend, Adam, allowed me to position them according to my sketches. After the photographs were taken, the behind-subject photograph was chosen and loaded onto the computer. I then followed the Photoshop process listed above. The final project was uploaded to Flickr.
I'm happy with the finished product, in that my sketch and my vision of what sort of image i wanted to portray through the word Propose was fulfilled. I would have edited the lighting a bit more, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.
