Gardenia and Matias are the only ones who knows how to be properly dressed at all occations.
Kungsholmen, Stockholm.
One of a few remaining flatirons on the Market Street corridor. The original building was built in 1900 as an office building and having been heavily damaged in the 06 quake it was rebuilt and designed by Albert Pissis. In 1936, five stories were added and it became the Shaw Hotel. There were a couple of name changes in the 1980's along with a storied few years including a major fire and it became a major hotel in the theater district. 1993 brought another renovation to become the fashionable Proper Hotel with upscale amenities never seen before in San Francisco.
Sometimes I remember to dress myself in an actual dressing room and not out in the front yard of a semi-ironic free garbage warehouse
Made in the early 20th Century, this reproduction Martha Washington Sewing Cabinet was bequeathed to the only daughter of the Olsson family in 1984. Until this date it is not known if the cabinet was originally obtained through a purchase or was a gift. The cabinet is completely made of wood and is stained to look like mahogany however, the interior shows that the cabinet is most likely made of another type of wood, possibly apple or pear. The cabinet has been installed in Rochester, NY, Newton, MA and is currently in Wilmington, NC.
(3) Stable/unstable; damaged/undamaged condition (either borderline or unclear). May need structural repair; needs surface repair before exhibition.
The cabinet has one structural issue. There is a damaged right, back leg that requires repair before placing on exhibition. The leg connects to the base of the cabinet by tightening around a screw. On the top of the leg, the wood is split which is preventing the leg to tighten, preventing a stable connection to the rest of the cabinet. Currently, there is a metal bind holding the split areas together. There is no other structural damage affecting the cabinet.
The surface of the object has some scratches, especially on the top surface. Water damage in the form of water stains is evident on top of the cabinet. Loss of stain and wear on the wood is evident around the drawers most likely due to use. There is also wear on the edges of the 2 lids covering the compartments on either side of the cabinet. Dust is present on the cabinet particularly around the molding on the legs.
