Another randomly-composed multiple exposure from a recent roll of clearance bin 100 run through my standard cams (these days at least) -- a Sure Shot found for $1 at a thrift store, and of course the Supersampler almighty! This was a bit of a rushed, haphazard session -- as most tend to be -- grabbing these shots on a busy afternoon running errands and so forth, around this hill country burg/tourist magnet. I love the simplicity of this sign, and was very pleased to finally have captured it in one of my mad/maddening multiples.

Well, thank you, as always, for stopping by and spending some time with my rather odd Flickr stream. Have a great weekend! Prost! ^_^

Today was a busy, busy day. Prepping for a little photo class I'll be teaching locally. Prepping the studio space where said class will be held (painting walls cheery colors). Getting ready for a big trip. It was a productive, tiring day.

Here is ME. No make. Tired. Noisy small people in the background. Proof.

Arm's length is my go-to selfie, so it seems an appropriate start. Tried to do a bit something new though. Here's to branching out in many ways this year.

Epic Goddesses straight out of Homer's Iliad!

Homer's Iliad: "RAGE! Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Jove fulfilled."

NOW YOU

teter and his tots and the ggb. so nice to have you guys join us - come back any time! next time we are swimming to deadman's point!

This was the very 1st 35mm camera I owned at about age 16. It was cheap and frowned upon as little more than a toy by those that could afford better. I had a lot of fun with it though. As close as you could get to idiot proof back in the early 70s with it’s built in light meter.

I moved onto better things with a Mamiya MSX 500 for my 21st birthday and I sold the Halina for beer money.

I recently acquired one on EBay for sentimental reasons and I’ve just finished a test film. Mixed results I’m afraid. The film had scratched right the way through - looks like a winding issue. Also exposure wasn’t too good so I suspect the old selenium cell is on the blink or possibly some issues with the light seal. It certainly isn’t worth having the camera repaired - £50 for a £15 camera but I’ll keep it for posterity. I’ve been reasonably successful with photoshop in covering the scratches and correcting the exposure but that defeats the object a bit. Fortunately I have plenty of other vintage cameras to play around with. I’ll be posting the results over the coming days.
