I finally finished my Project of Doom quilt top! The brown fabric is actually a gorgeous woodgrain fabric and I can't wait until I get it quilted so I can take more detailed photos of the fabrics and the stenciling I did for the titles on every single one of the books.

I'm so excited, my book case is "done". All I have left to do: another border, maybe some more book titles, backing, quilting, binding... I've never made a quilt this large.

My father was an industrial arts (shop) teacher. I thought of him often while cutting and assembling the wood-fabric. He made many book cases during his lifetime, but never one of fabric.
