The CSG Community came together for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The program featured musical performances from all four divisions and remarks from Head of School Jennifer Ciccarelli and Student Speaker Aisha Iftikhar '15.
We did our best this weekend to see and hear as much as possible. The result:

Took a day off. Was very tired. Now I'm studying Python (a great programming language) from a book that I recommend a lot: A concise introduction to programming in Python by Mak J Johnson. Look what you can do with Python - and easily! I modified a book listing - it's very easy and very short.

Grown-Ups Art Camp (GUAC) Workshop: Shaving Cream Marbling / Monoprinting.
Date/Time: Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 6:30-9:30pm.
Instructors: Stacy Rausch & Jen Athanas.
Using shaving cream as the base for textile paints to "float on," participants will create one-of-a-kind prints using marbling and/or monoprint techniques. Prints can be created on paper and fabric. Each participant will have their own station to create and pull as many prints as they want during the class. The workshop will start with a short how-to demo, and instructors will help individual participants with methods and process.
The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.
With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

This is my rom programming station. I use this to repair games and phoenix CPS2 boards. The old computer on the right is the actual programming computer. I acquired it for $20 from someone in need and put it to good use.

Found a one familiar face from last year. The polish guy opened the conversation like "Hey, you're from Finland -- we'll go to have a couple of beers tonight, right?"
During a Native American history-themed sleepover at the National Archives in Washington, DC, 101 kids and their grown-ups spent the night enjoying history-related activities, learning from special guests actor Martin Sensmeier, Jim Thorpe historians Bob Wheeler and Flo Ridlon, and Native American storyteller Perry Ground. After sleeping over night in the Rotunda, participants enjoyed a pancake breakfast made by the Archivist of the United States, David S. Ferriero, on October 14, 2018.

sponsored our Homecoming Week kickoff with the traditional Color Run on wcsu's westside campus.
The North Charleston Police Department implemented Project S.T.A.N.D (Stop and Take A New Direction) aimed at not just arresting low level narcotics dealers with little or no prior criminal history but to go a step further and help those involved in the activity change their lives for the better. This is program aimed at reducing recidivism through working on all aspects of the criminals’ lives.
This project was the focus of a Dateline NBC special entitled “Intersection” which aired on March 14, 2013.
