As in previous years, the Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) of the EBRD invited its
members and everyone interested in the topic of international and intra-regional trade finance banking to attend the annual TFP event within the framework of the Annual Meeting. TFP currently includes over 100 Issuing Banks in the EBRD region and more than 800 Confirming Banks worldwide. In the last two years, the Programme provided essential support to its members and secured substantial flows of trade finance transactions under crisis-ridden market conditions. This year’s one-day event organised in a conference format offered a unique opportunity to share contemporary trade finance banking expertise including trends, specifics, and intricacies through presentations by professional trade finance bankers and specialists. The event also provided the stage for signing agreements with banks that have recently joined and hosted an award ceremony for the most active TFP banks of 2011

The United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), with a total investment of £ 45 million (USD 72 million), targets Zimbabwe’s smallholder farmers with the objective of reducing poverty through increased incomes for smallholder farmers.
The programme will actively address the specific constraints that small-holder farmers - particularly women and youth - face in raising the productivity of their farms and participating in markets.
The combined goal of the programme is to contribute to poverty reduction through increased incomes and improved food security and nutrition.

A very welcome win for Killie who are dangerously close to the basement of the Scottish Premiership. This at a cold, windy rainswept Rugby Park. Still, it beat doing the Christmas shopping.
Crowd was 3,685 including just over 700 Thistle fans.

Keighley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society's production of "The Rebel Maid" played at the Hippodrome Theatre in Keighley for six nights from Monday 5th December 1932. The romantic light opera was written by Alexander M. Thompson, with lyrics by Gerald Dalton and music by Montague F. Phillips. Dalton and Phillips had actually created the opera while serving in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve during the First World War. The musical director was Joseph Harker, while the producer was Herbert Coates. KAODS had first performed "The Rebel Maid" ten years earlier in 1922.
The story is set in the autumn of 1688 and centres around the rebellion against the Stuart dynasty, in the form of King James II, led by Prince William of Orange (played by local photographer W. Bruce Johnston). The action takes place in the mansion of Lord Milverton (played by Donald Ackroyd) on the coast of Devon, the local inn 'The Jolly Fishers' and the village green. Amongst the plots and counter-plots is a romance between Derek Lanscombe (Arthur Day) and Lady Mary Trefusis (Edith Robson, who had played the role for KAODS in 1922), who's secret identity is 'Snow Bunting' a.k.a. the Rebel Maid. The production also starred John H. Crabtree, William Emmett, John Pickles, Arthur B. Hird, Albert E. Shepherd, Norman Boyes, Hylda Stell, Margaret Best, Edna Whitaker, Mabel Feather and Phyllis Turner.
The 40-page programme was printed by The Keighley Printers Ltd. of High Street, Keighley. It measures approximately 188 mm by 246 mm. The programme was part of an anonymous donation given in 2022.
