On December 9, 2016, the Arboretum and Public Garden had the opportunity to welcome a group of students from a journalism program in Visalia CA. The aspiring young journalists had the opportunity to interview our Museum Education & Interpretive Manager- Maya Makker, GATEways Outreach Students- Vivian Le and Rachel Le and our Outreach and Leadership Program Coordinator- Melissa Cruz.

Mais um avanço na preparação da Copa do Mundo da FIFA Brasil 2014™ na Bahia. Durante o dia de ontem (02/10), representantes da área de meio ambiente dos Governos Federal, Estadual e Municipal, terceiro setor e iniciativas privadas tiveram a oportunidade de definir as bases para elaboração, de forma participativa, do Programa de Sustentabilidade e Legados da Copa do Mundo da FIFA Brasil 2014™.
O Workshop de Mapeamento das Oportunidades em Sustentabilidade para a Copa do Mundo da FIFA Brasil 2014™ aconteceu na Santa Casa da Misericórdia, em Salvador, e contou com a participação do Secretário Estadual da Copa, Ney Campello, do Gerente Geral do Comitê Organizador Local (COL) em Salvador, Roberto Maron, do Superintende da Companhia de Desenvolvimento Urbano do Estado da Bahia (Conder), Ruy Tourinho, do Secretário de Cultura e Turismo de Porto Seguro, Luís Otávio Borges, da Superintendente do Porto Seguro Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Patrícia Martins, dentre outros representantes.
Plenário do Senado Federal durante sessão solene destinada a dar posse e eleger a Mesa do Programa Jovem Senador 2023.
Os estudantes foram os primeiros classificados em cada unidade da Federação na edição deste ano, que teve como tema “Saúde mental nas escolas públicas”, e representarão seus estados e o Distrito Federal em um mandato simulado em uma Semana de Vivência Legislativa.
A legislatura dos jovens senadores começa com a solenidade de posse e a eleição da Mesa Jovem, e vai até a aprovação dos projetos e sua publicação no Diário do Senado Federal.

The model is again the 'imp' from Doom3. This time it is animated using its own animations in md5anim format. The model itself is parsed from an md5mesh file.
The application is a small test application using OpenGL. The file parsing is done using good ol' fopen and fread. The skeletal animation was coded by myself and tediously going through numerous articles. But I have to admit I did not understand the math behind skeletal animation. :( If I were to use skeletal animation again, I would code it all over again.

Noted Zambian artist and art teacher Mwamba Mulangala developed a Visual Arts Program for the youth served by Lubuto Libraries, held weekly in Lubuto’s purpose-built Arts and Activities Buildings. The program began at the first Lubuto Library in Lusaka in September 2007.
The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.
